Keep Movin' in May: May Exercise Challenge

Can you feel it??? Summer is just around the corner! Shorts, swimsuits and tank tops - Oh my! Whether your goal is to look good, feel strong, or just be able to indulge in picnic food and ice cream treats - May is the time to plan ahead.

May is also often the beginning of crazy busy schedules. Many of us have been working hard for the past four months - now is not the time to lose momentum! Keep going. Keep moving! Remember how good you feel when you've had an active week. Remember how proud you feel when you change colors in this post because you dared to post a goal and worked hard to achieve it.

So when you're tempted to sit back and watch the series finale of The Office just remember.... that's what the DVR was invented for! When you need a little extra motivation, you can always turn to your fellow exercise thread friends. We're all here because we love Disney and we want to be healthy.

Post your personal goal for May (x minutes of exercise) and then post as frequently as you like. I'll update this post throughout the month to show your progress. Please tell me how many minutes you have completed along with your goal for the challenge. For example, "45 min run yesterday brings me to 45/800".

As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post:

At 15% you'll be bright pink
At 25% you'll be orange
At 50% you'll be purple
At 75% you'll be turquoise
At 90% you'll be red (because you'll be on fire!)
And at 100% you'll be WISH green!

I'm in! Let's go for 900 again and see what happens.

My twins graduate in early June - so May should be a very busy month, but the running kinda helps keep the stress levels down and the goal of running Tink in January gives me something else to focus on other than that 2 of my 3 babies will be moving out in August....

Put me down for 1500. It is a stretch but I am going for it this month.

I'm in again for this month. Put me down for 1600. I have another half marathon this month but with my ankle getting tweaked I will have to find other ways to get the exercise in.

Count me in for 1500 minutes...

Broken down into
4days a week doing 30 minutes Ripped video + 2 miles treadmill
1 day a week doing Ripped + 1 mile treadmill
2 days a week doing Ripped video alone


Extra 3 days doing Ripped and 2 miles treadmill one more time...I know it will get me closer to goal!
 
I would love to join this challenge. I really need to step up my activity. My goal is going to be 800 mins for the month.

I wish I could wear shorts but need to get in better shape... we did already hit 100 degrees here!

Think I'll just have to break it down this month and log in my "American" minutes. I have no idea what to add in for the trip but I know we'll be doing ALOT of walking. So let's call it 500 for May.
