Keep Movin' in May: May Exercise Challenge

40 minutes of running

160/1000

I managed to get up early every morning this week and workout. This is a major accomplishment and im guessing its because i joined this thread.

Awesome!! See what hanging around us can do???:rotfl2:

Thank you! I did have a good race. I was pleased with my time, (just a couple seconds off a pr) altho I really felt quite "awful" during it. The guy next to me was coaching his daughter along and though motivating, he kept telling her to leave it all on the course and do her best. Which had the effect of pushing me harder. Which I am paying for now in knee pain... But anyhow I had fun, Dh had fun, and I have a cool medal to hang next to wine and dine one.

So, 33 min for me today. 93/900

Yay for the Figsters!!! And welcome back to world of knee pain! :faint: :cool1::banana::yay:

Redeemed myself with good lean salad...thought I could get in two miles at regatta, drove four hours to get here only to realize due to their crazy elimination rules my son's boat can not race in finals...their boat had 4th best time out of seven...two boats are in the finals that had much slower times! It is nuts how USRowing 'decides' finals...if you are drawn to be in a heat with the top two teams in the region, you have no shot at even going to finals...what a disappointment for these kids..and not to mention the unnecessary 8 hour drive I went through to get here...nominal compared to their disappointment. :( alas, it is raining raining here so just waiting on dear son to finish helping load boats so we can drive four hours home..

Sounds like your kid got a good old-fashioned scr**ing!:furious: It's crazy the rules some these sanctioning bodies come up with. He should at least feel proud of what he and his teammates were able to do up to that point, even if it didn't get him to where he wanted to go. That's a big accomplishment!

Confession time: After a couple of really good skinny 'ritas and about a pound of guacamole Saturday, my running BFF talked me into joining a big group of other runners in running the WDW Half in January. Let's just keep our fingers crossed my IT's hold up for it after the W&D Half in November! I must be :hyper::scared1:!!!

4/5 - 42 minute walk with the Wonder Mutt

Hello Figment and Everyone on the board
I would love to join the May challenge. Since I a week late to the thread, I'll make it based on the three weeks remaining:

Exercise goal: 120 minutes a week (5 days at 60 minutes a day)
Weight: would like to drop 5lbs

There it is. This board has never let me down and I should know better than to slack for a couple months after meeting a goal. Thanks for all the support!
Buggie:cool1:

Hey Pluto - great news - my knee is recovering MUCH more quickly this time around. So... that's something right?! :) I even feel like I could've gone out for a run yesterday (but I resisted). So my current plan is to run the Tinkerbell Half in DL in January, so I'll be right there with you crossing fingers that I can get through W&D injury free this time around. :thumbsup2

48 minute run

235/1000

Some how managed to both increase my distance and decrease my average pace. Woot

Fri 5/3 - 30 min run/walk, 10 min PT
Sat 5/4 - 30 min walk
Sun 5/5 - 40 min run/walk
Mon 5/6 - 60 min yoga

TOTAL: 220/1200

Does anyone mind if I jump in a little late? :hourglass

I feel a bit silly, but you could put me down 350 for the rest of May. I'm chomping at the bit to do more, but I'm still trying to heal from PF, so I'm going sloooooowly and carefully.

Was shooting for the C2C by doing the Tink next year, but now it looks like I'll have to shoot for that plan in 2015. Guess we'll have to find a way to take painkillers and ice while we run the W&D! :confused3:lmao:

It doesn't matter what you do, but that you got off the couch.:thumbsup2: :

I just wanted to pop in here quickly and let everyone know that I'm REALLY sorry I haven't updated the totals today. I will update tomorrow I promise.

In the meantime, keep movin'! :cheer2:

This definitely is not me but I thought many of you could relate:

I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing. :rotfl:

4/6-75 minutes yoga

Oookay.

Ahem. 6minutes yesterday. Valuable lesson learned: I cannot use an elliptical until my feet are fully healed. Today's a weight day, but I'll be trying the stationary bike tomorrow. I so wish I could dance again. :/
