I'm not sure on proper etiquette but I think seeing as people will have to travel, book flights and save money they'd appreciate getting save the dates straight away.

So I just got through with my phone appointment with Stacey! I was So excited the whole time i had to get up and walk around because I could not sit still!!

So, my original date was February 7th, 2013.
But right now I am penciled in for February 4th, 2013.

Here's tthe deal.
y'all all know that i am on the fence about where to have my reception. My two original choices were the California Grill and the Whitehall Room at the GF. Well Right off the bat, the California Grill can not be used because it will be undergoing construction from Jan 2013- July 2013. So I turned to the WH room. Although I'm not dead set on it right now, its what im going for at the moment. Lol. But on the 7th, the WH room is booked that day for a convention.

So, Stacey is going too check into it and see if I can get the WH room that day instead! She is going to get back to me as soon as she hears something on that front. So the WP pavilion, WH room, and dessert party is all available on February 4th, 2013. So that's the date as of right now.


We are pencilled in for:
12:00 PM wedding at the wedding pavilion.
1-2 PM Cocktail Hour.
2-6 PM Reception at the WH room.
8-9:30 DP at the UK Lochside.

So all in all thats where we are at right now.
Anyone have any ideas for reception areas, maybe at epcot?!
And should I choose the UK Lochside or Upper UK, being as i haunt really looked at neither.

FINALLY!!
We went through with our engagement shoot without canceling it due to weather. Lol.

So...

The night before we stayed the beachhouse, and one of my BM's stayed with me so she could help me with my hair for the next morning, considering the fact that i have the thickest hair in America! No Kidding! Lol.
We had all of our dogs with us, and my dad was staying too with his two dogs! It was totally a doggy fiesta there!

So as soon as we got there Wes fell asleep on the couch, he had worked all day, and me and sara made a pizza and stayed up till about 12 AM. until I finally went and woke wes up! Me, Sara, Wes, And my dogs bryant and Gizmo, and her dog Skipper all slept in one huge king size bed! Lol.

The shoot was scheduled for 8:30 AM but when I woke up the weather was not the greatest so we decided to shoot at 1 PM Instead. So I went back to sleep for a few hours, and then woke up to some delicious hot cinnamon rolls my dad had bought from the bakery down the road. MMMM! Sara then did my hair, and It was time for my shoot!

FINALLY!
After two rescheduled shoots it was time...
but wait...
IS THAT RAINDROPS?!?!?!

Oh yes. It rained the whole time, We froze the whole time, and the wind must have been gusting nonstop at about 30-40 MPH THE WHOLE TIME. Just our luck, right?

Well we all agreed to go ahead and bite the bullet and do the shoot even though the weather was tearing us to shreads, upon the agreement that if the pictures did not come out we could do another shoot for free! So we toughened up and completed the shoot, which lasted total about two hours! I hate pictures of myself, Ugh, and considering the weather I knew All those hours of curling my hair was gonna go don the drain. But she put up a couple of proofs and they might come out.

That's it for this update, Just wanted to leave yall with a few Shots from todays hellacious shoot

Despite the weather being super crappy, your pictures turned out pretty good. The same thing happened to me and DF on our formal shoot, but we were on vacation and knew we couldn't get back another time. It'll be fun to do a second shoot this summer, too.

I bet the BM comes around, you've got some time and if they were really that close, he's probably realizing how stupid he was (hopefully!)

Sorry I need a refresh, how many people are you expecting to have? I think the Whitehall Room & Patio will be great for you becasue there is an outdoors patio- you wanted an outdoor reception! I think this room caps around 50 or 60 people maybe?

Have you thought about having your DP at Sago Cay at the GF rather than in Epcot? If you really want to stick to the 12k, you will be amazed how quickly you get there... I thought we'd totally be okay to stick to our 20k budget (we have 80 people and a night/dinner reception) but I am struggling to keep it at 25. Check out Nichole's DP at Sago Cay... I am actually trying to move mine back to the GF instead of going into Epcot to save funds and because Nichole's looks so awesome and was less than 1/2 of what it would be at Epcot... plus if you're already at the GF, you won't have to provide transportation over to Epcot. (no transportation, no park viewing fee, etc). Just a thought! If you do stick with Epcot, we currently have upper and lower booked, but lower is closer to the water and the action
and would be my personal preference for one over the other

I'm so flattered you liked my STD's! They were a huge hit, and really set the tone for the wedding as well as give some additional information more than just a postcard or etc. I have been updating our website like crazy and directing people to it several times, and they're still telling me they're not looking at it, sooo I'm really glad I'm sending out detailed info to them as well. haha

Im going to be inviting around 40 people but i expect around 30 people to show up so the WH room deff work!

Im deff going to have to give out a very detailed newsletter because most of my extended family has never been or havnt been in 20 years! So details are GOOD

hello everyone!
i feel like It has been FOREVER since i have been on here!
I've just been so busy planning my Birthday stuff, our surprise anniversary trip, and our girls trip to Disney!
( leaving in 13 days)

Anyways, We got some emails in from our coordinator, stacey, and we have to send back some basic information to her regarding our name, legal address, and other demographic information, along with an email regarding our LOA and Room block too!

We have until March 16th to send our demographic information and our room block decisions to her! So as far as the room block info goes, We finally did pick our three hotels that were going to be using. We ended up going with a value, moderate, and deluxe. That way our guest will have a variety of price ranges to choose from!

Value- Disney's POP Century Resort, 78$ per night.
Moderate-Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, 139$ per night.
Deluxe-Disney's Contemporary resort, Garden Wing, 227$ per night.

Overall we got some pretty good discounts on our rooms! So we anticipate that ALL of our guests will be staying in Disney, Rather than outside of Disney.
The next thing on our list is to actually pick a number of rooms to block off, and Im waiting on my dad to get home from out of town to help me with that decision! I definitely hope we can meet 25 room nights, that way we get a free room night! Lol.

After we send off our room block info, Disney is going to be drawing up our LOA and sending it to us, and were gonna go from there! As soon as i get our date confirmed through a contract Im going to send of the STD's and Newsletters, which I need to start typing up!

I Promise im gonna be a good DISbride and start updating more wedding plans

Last night was my birthday and I turned 21!!!!


Had a Great time with friends and family and drove down to Biloxi, Mississippi to go to the casino's! We went to the Hard Rock, and I won 200$ playing Blackjack, which im going to be using tonight to pay for my dining plan for our girls trip!

Anyways just wanted to check in and let everyone know that our contracts will be signed soon!!!!
