I think she looks alot like her dad. As far as the date she was born or first seen in public, I think if I was an ultra celeb like TC I would do whatever I could to keep my child and the details of their life (including their birth) private. If that means fabricating things to appease the media and public, I don't care.

I think they look alike as well...I think Suri looks more like Tom than she does Chris or Josh.

The famous "beach ball" picture - no one looks like that!!! The rest of her body does not look consistent with the stomach. I suspect that they just went out and bought a strap on belly.

These are actors, people. They don't mind doing this crap.

The soccer picture - as someone who has seen a lot of pregnant bellies (work) and also as someone who has been pregnant x2 myself, in a woman who has never been pregnant before - that is a 20-24 week belly.


There is a lot of variation, but they were not even consistent towards the last 3 months.

I suspect Katie was already pregnant and Tom knew that. Tom shoots blanks, and I think that Katie thought this would be a great way to get "saved". Little did she know what she was getting herself and her baby into.
I think that this is why custody was settled so quickly. Nicole Kidman fought tooth and nail and still lost.

Based on these pictures, I think Suri looks more like Katie/Chris than Katie/Tom.

If she had even a glimmer of resemblance to Cruise, I might be inclined to believe this.

However, there was so much controversy surrounding her birth at the time, such as she was too big for a newborn, Katie's baby bump changed in size up and down during those last 3 months and the ridiculous photo where you could see blond hair under Newborn Suri's, that there is reasonable doubt to her parentage.

And the fact that he blamed Nicole for their infertility problems, yet she easily conceived with her new husband.

I think the *baby toupee* is a Scientology thing...I remember the Travolta's did the same with Ella Blue...hey, wait a minute....Suri and Ella resemble each other, ...maybe Johnny boy donated the specimen! If so then when he and Tom get together they will finally have their biological family! lol I am not a TC fan at all, but I do think Suri looks like him, especially when she is pouting (which seems to be often) I don't see the Chris Klein at all, possibly Josh Hartnett...my theory is Katie was impregnated by artificial insemination as part of the arrangement(not sure with who's, but see above Travolta theory) and once they got the go ahead that she was, THEN they rushed the whole romance thing. I think that whoever was going to be Nicole's successor HAD to be able to get pg to dispell the rumors (not that it worked)and that Katie went along with the deal. Perhaps her 3 week "introducion" to the world of Scientology was really her IV proceedure timeframe? I don't know...I do agree the whole pg timing is/was bizare, even by Hollyweird standards

Katie wasn't a Scientology member when she started dating Cruise. Even if Cruise was trying to dispel rumors, what would be so inticing that Katie would agree to IV? Why would she even consider this? What's in it for her? I thought she signed a pre-nup where she would get nothing for a divorce.

The reason I wondered was Katie's amazochangobumpo.

Then again, Tom was so crazy at that time, I can see him coming up with an idea to keep the real birthdate a secret and have Katie wear padding to confuse the public/press so that people wouldn't be harassing them to get photos of a newborn. On my third hand, however, I can't see the point of lying about the birthdate if that was the case. Wouldn't you enjoy announcing the real birthdate and saying "neener neener" to the paps about failing to the get scoop?

It seems to me getting pg ,keeping the father undisclosed, marrying another is the norm in their world so not really a career ender or anything like that for her to have just had the baby without having TC in her life I think she gets something that is of obvious value to her to have entered into any deal with him, pre-nup or not.

Publicity? Keeping her name in the public eye by linking it to TC? Post Dawson's Creek has Katie done much really? Maybe she has and I am just not aware but if it is true she had a crush on TC (quite possible) she could have agreed to be part of some publicity scheme for her benefit and give him what he was looking for? Looking at her IMDB it looks like she did Batman Begins in 2005 (with almost 2 years between that and the end of Dawson with 1 role in that 2 year span) and then very little again. Her career appears to have picked up around 2011..maybe now putting her in a position where she feels she has the publicity/name/draw she needs to get roles thus ending their arrangement?

I agree her needing a "father" for the baby or needing to marry someone is unlikely..what I think is more likely (if she was indeed pregnant by someone else) is that he offered her something (totally not sure what) to set all this up and pass the kid off as his (and I suspect him wanting this is related more to Scientology than his career).
