Heading to Disneyland in October and my travel agent mentioned the option of the Karmel shuttle. Has anyone used this before? What was it like? Did you book in advance or call when you arrived at the airport?

Thanks!

We used them twice and both times they were great. We had large groups, 11-13 people.

We booked it ahead of time, google " Karmel shuttle coupon code". I usually find a code for about 4$ off per person.

When you book, they give you instructions. You arrive at hotel, gather your luggage, call the Karmel shuttle line, they tell you the van number and where to go for pick up.
They were there in about 10 mins of us calling them.

Karmel is the only service I have, and will, ever use. They are great. You book your shuttle ahead of time with your arrival flight information. Just go to their website and do it all online. It is reservation only so they do not loop the airport looking for more people. You do need to call them when you have your bags to let them know you arrived so they don't leave you behind (person above meant "arrive at airport" not "arrive at hotel") :). I only take a carry on so I call right when I am off the plane. Last time it was just me, my brother and another family of 3 people. We got on and off we went. Perfect :)

Have fun!

(hey! Vancouver too! LOL)

Oops yes, arrive at airport. Thanks for clarifying.

They haven't been perfect, but they've been better than my Disneyland Resort Express or Super Shuttle experiences, so they are my fave. I love that they don't troll the airport (like SS often does); they get the people that are booked and GO. I've had SS show up early, and they just leave...Karmel showed up early and settled in with a newspaper until the time. The PPH guy saw him, though, and alerted me, so I went on out anyway. I was so nervous from my SS experiences, and didn't see the paper (indicating he wasn't going to make his early arrival my problem) until I got in the van!

Sorry for piggy-backing off this thread but seeing as it's recent and related I'll just see if anyone can help me out.

I'm booking the Karmel Shuttle for a LAX-Anaheim return ticket but I will not have a mobile phone to call them at the airport to let them know I've arrived. My flight gets into LAX early morning (6am) but I anticipate it may be at least an hour if not more as it's an international flight (so customs, immigration etc) and I don't want to book it too early or late and have the poor driver waiting for us. Would a payphone be the best bet to call them, or are there courtesy phones anywhere for Karmel?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about LAX but I think at SNA there was a payphone or a courtesy type phone for shuttles.

I used them once and had no problems, I would look into them again. They were a little late for pick up back to the airport (10 minutes), but it didn't bother me because I was having problems at the check out desk of my hotel and needed that extra time.

We were in the same position flying in from NZ.... There are pay phones available once you are through immigration etc and it is super easy. We took about 1.5 hours to get through in April, not good after a 12 hour flight!
