Karlyn’s Wish Is Coming True ***1st hair tutorial***

That Linnette is so wonderful! I can't believe all the things she sent you guys! You even got Brody to model it! Cool!

Lindsey,
Have your found anything at your new house yet? Hopefully, the hot water heater will be fixed by this evening;)

The clothes from Linnette are so absolutely darling (or in Brody's case-awesome) She is truly amazing. I can't wait until we can go back to the Disboutiquers thread and see what she has been doing besides these cute things! Thank you Linnette, you are wonderful.:grouphug: from all of us!

Mom

P.S. Thank you Piper for the cute shirts and for sharing the transfer pattern with us (by way of JHam). I purchased 5 more red shirts and am going to give it try this weekend. I really love them!

We are finally in the house. Not much is unpacked, but we are in. The hot water heater is still leaking. It is a good thing that we planned to tear out all of the carpet because we would have not choice after the hot water heater started to leak. Hopefully Jason will be out to look at it tonight.:confused3
Thank you again Piper and Linnette for all of the wonderfull outfits and t-shirts.

Oh my goodness, all those outfits are just amazing! They all look so cute in them!!!

Hello! The kids outfits are so cute (and ahem, handsome!)!!! They are going to be so excited to wear them on your trip...which is coming up really, really quickly!!!

I am in awe of anyone who can create outfits like these, as well as all those shirts you are making for your family.

Oh, and BTW, don't sweat the 30th reunion. I feel your pain. I have to decide whether to attend my 25th university reunion next month (doesn't look good because my hubby doesn't manage well with the boys alone and I think I am looking for an excuse anyway). And my high school reunion - number 30 - passed by without comment. I guess we all feel we'll be up for a party at our 50th in 2028...after all, I'll only be 67 (EEK!!!!).

The boys and my hubby gave me Wii Fit for my birthday (well, yes I did have to go and buy it myself, but the thought was nice). First time I did my "body test" (warning: do not do this in front of your family unless you want them to know your weight and BMI!)...after a glass of wine at dinner I must add...my "Wii Age" was 62. AAAGH!!! And yes, I am "overweight", but my hubby who cycles >6000 miles/year just made it into normal weight. Yesterday, after more practice etc, my "Wii Age" was 41...I'm a kid again!!!

You're as young as you feel, right!

Thanks
We are really getting excited to go. I think the kids will be changing outfits at least twice a day! What a hard life:rotfl2: I'll bet your boys are having a wonderful summer. Sounds like they have done some fun things.

Thanks for the warning about the Wii Fit. I have yet to try "Wii ing" (is that a word?) at all. I am more of a Nintendo DS kind of Grandma! My husband gave me one for Christmas 2 years ago and I love it. I do have the Brain Age of 25! Of course once you get that score, never test yourself again or you could wind up with an age of 84! I can't do those tests of skill, I have no coordination...and I really can't do that Rock Band or Guitar Hero thing that Mandy and Tim have in the basement family room!:scared1:

Have a marvelous day!

Glad to have found you PTR. What great pics!

Glad you found us. I know you will love reading about everyone's wish trips and we will all love hearing about your experiences.:goodvibes

:cheer2: Yeah, Lindsey has a new hot water heater :cheer2: No more leaks and now once everything dries out, they can put down new carpet in the room next to where that pesky problem is and really be moved in. It was a little touch and go last night when the water was turned off and they couldn't find a few parts necessary to get that thing installed. Lucky thing Uncle Jason is a plumber or things would have gotten really ugly really fast.:scared1:

I am starting to think about packing...I hate that part so much. Besides, I haven't finished up a couple of things that will need to go with us. Right now, the nurse in me is trying to figure out the best compact first aid kit, that doesn't weigh 40 pounds and take up the same space as a small child! When Mike and I go to WDW alone, I don't so much worry about it but I am a little obsessed with things this trip. You know, disinfectant wipes, waterless hand sanitizer in massive amounts, anti itch, anti burn, anti everything else, tylenol, advil, benadryl (for me, I have horrible allergies) LISTS, LISTS, must have more lists!

We put little bottles of hand sanitizer in each kiddos bag, and then anytime we were in a line for a few minutes I would take one of them out and have everyone use. As well as before meals, and I also was a nazi about no hands in the mouth..I didn't want anyone sick during vacation..thats what the school year is for LOL! Also, anytime we got off a bus, or monorail I would pull some out and hit everyone up as we were exiting! I know, I m a freak!

Alright, I am signing up for the ride. I am loving the pre TR...and can't wait to hear all about the big trip in a few weeks!! All of those outfits are just gorgeous. Some of you dis boutiquers have mad skills!!

Well, thanks to a little bit of depressing news from Jeanne (jham), :sad1: I will not be getting the "positively perfect pettislips" for Karlyn and Gabby. I will however be making the "somewhat adequate Grandma Kelly fluffy slips" that will have to do at this point. I will post pictures when I am a little closer to having them done. This weekend, I finished off the Mickey appliques on the three t-shirts for Lindsey, Mandy and Me and did the matching Wish t-shirt iron-on's for the 5 of us that are not the "official wish family". They turned out nice thanks to Jeanne and Piper for the help with the template. The names are not in the same cute font that Piper used but our lovely printer wouldn't support the cute font so we got the plain font:confused3 Oh well, grandpa says compared to the kids, we are the plain font!:rotfl:

I also used up the rest of the lovely orange hawaii fabric and made 6 more little girls dresses for the rest of the granddaughters...I don't care if I ever sew another piece of orange fabric in my life! 16 items is just too many!

Mandy is in Atlanta this week for business and I am not good with a camera but if I can get some help, I will try to post some pictures.

Hope things are ok up by Jeanne's house, there is quite a fire burning in her direction in the foothills here today and the smoke is really bad. My office is not too far from her house and even inside, you can smell the smoke!

Pics soon I hope.

Youcanmakethis.com has a wonderful ebook for a pettiskirt. I used that to make Kirsta her pettiskirt.

I know your running out of time, but they'd look great with a Xmas dress!:goodvibes

:scared1: sorry I was the bearer of depressing news! You have been busy! Get that camera going! The fire up by my house is kinda crazy, but not close enough to worry about. I took a good picture of it this morning when it was getting started. (and posted it in the forbidden disboutiquer land) The fire looks pretty close in the picture! And I had to drive the kids home from school because the air is so bad, but other than that we are fine. I can smell it in the house here too. I'm getting so excited for your trip!

Jeanne, glad the fire is moving up the mountain this morning. :goodvibes Still lots of smoke in the valley though. I guess it will be at least a day or two until they get it controlled. I took a night off from sewing last night and sat in the Hot Tub and read a book, well not the whole book. I was going through Olympic withdrawl and NFL preseason game was just not doing it for me! I'll get back to the sewing tonight. I am still sorting out the pettiskirt thing in my mind so we'll see how it goes.

I can't believe that you leave in 15 days :woohoo: :woohoo:
One trick that worked with us is that we bought 2 cases of water from Walmart and bought empty water bottles that have an insulated sleeve over them and a long lanyard attached to it. We filled the bottles with ice and then water and the water stayed cool all day long. We had back packs that we brought water with us and just kept filling the insulated bottles. It saved money (water is expensive in the parks). We also bought rain ponchos at walmart. They were $8 each in the parks and $3 at walmart, just in case. Hopefully you won't need them. We also brought little packets of powdered drink mix to add to water for lunch, Like Propell or Gator Aid to replace electrolytes because of all the sweating.
When you go into MK, make sure you visit the Main Street Bakery.
OMG, the best cinnamon buns I have ever had :thumbsup2
