Perhaps it's time I burst that bubble!!

Come on Mary Anne, you know you want to come...succumb to peer pressure as I did!!! Julia might as well be in a snit, just like Katie is!!! She just can't believe I'm going to WDW without her!!! Imagine, a mom traveling without her kid, having some 'me' grown up time!! Poor thing will be in therapy for years.... You wouln't have to be gone too long...Friday to Sunday....come on down!!

Katie & Julia will be grateful to have parents who are willing to make sacrifices in order to show them the wisdom, nay! the necessity of making special time for oneself & cultivating friendships & the wearin' o' the lime green!
Besides, in 20 yrs or so down the road, they can turn to their DHs & proclaim,"Moms & Dads long weekend @ WDW is a healthy outlet. Why even my dear, revered Mother considered a night at JellyRolls a building block to emotional well-being!" Ahem..

That's a great way to explain this "Mom only" trip to my kids. Sorry kids, but it's a sacrifice every parent must make. It's for your own good that you stay at home.

OK, you've convinced me. I'm gonna ask hubby this weekend. I feel like a teenager asking to go her first concert . I have no idea what his reaction will be. He once met up with some on-line friends (EverQuest), but that was just for breakfast down the road. But I can still bring that up when he refers to us as the "cult", right?

Some of us have been called imaginary friends!

I know how you feel about mentioning the trip to your DH....but surprisingly mine thought it was a great idea and helped come up with ways to pay for it.

I want to come too! Just came back from WDW and LOVED Jellyrolls! Any idea on how to get back to VWL from the bar? How much do you think a cab will run?

I see you found my meet thread before I responded to you, twotoohappy. LOL. I'm guessing it will cost around $15 to take a cab to the VWL after a night at Jellyrolls

Jean...my hero!!! I can't wait to tell Katie this one!!! And Mary Ann...when I started whining about Karen's going down and there were going to be others, like Barb, going...he said.."Then go ahead and go!" Could have knocked me over with a feather. He says it's good to get away.
Just read him your post Jean...he's howling. I think maybe he thinks we're a wee bit over the top.

Yoohoo...great and fearless Princess BC.....so, do you think another get together is in order?? You are now in charge. I am so bad at planning. Just a lady in waiting..never a princess!!!!

And we get bigger, and bigger. This is taking on a grand proportion. Very exciting since I'll be able to meet a lot of new people and renew friendships with others. Picking out which lime green shirt to wear....I wonder if those not of our party will feel out of place that night?? Ah, who cares!!!!
