Well I know now I definately won't be watching now or ever. I hope that this decision really bites NBC and the Leno show - if they are going to promote this idiot I hope that their ratings are terrible tonight.

It was awkward. Leno said Kanye wanted to talk before he performed and that it wasn't planned.

Again, he apologized and when Leno asked what his mother would think, he couldn't speak and held back tears. Leno spoke instead saying 'would she think it was wrong?'. Then he went on with is apology.

I can't stand the guy.

I saw that part of Leno's show (of course, I was curious about whether Kanye would still be on), and what really made me sick was how the audience all cheered when he came out. I was hoping for at least a few boos!

I may be in the very small minority but I think he had a legitimate comment.
Sure it was said at the wrong time, and in a rude way, but seriously, Taylor Swift over Beyonce? That woman has been around, and entertained many, Taylor can't sing live (MHO) while Beyonce rocked the house. So if he had saved his comment for a different time, I would be in utter agreement.

ITA!! I was honestly surprised when Kanye came out...he wasn't his usual cocky and arrogant self and looked like crap--the dark bags under his eyes are hopefully an indicator that he didn't sleep well last night because he realized what a giant loser he is!

When Jay asked what he thought his mom would think of what he did, he honestly looked like he was going to break down--it didn't look "put on" and he seemed like he actually realized the magnitude of his stupidity.

Good. I'm glad someone posted about his appearance on Leno so i can find out what happened. And I'm glad Jay still has enough clout and class to get through to Kanye.

wow I just watched both videos...all Beyonce did was shake her tush and a few kick, kick, kick ball changes....not that it wasn't a cute video and love the song....but really...and I watched her reation on the VMA's, she did really not seem all that shocked to me, she was half smiling and half like "omg".

As far as I understand it, the award wasn't about best singing or performance. It was based on music video, correct? And Beyonce's music video wasn't anything inventive, in my opinion. Certainly nothing groundbreaking. Just the same old shake, shake, shake...

Regardless, it is never appropriate to make such a statement. If he had waited until after the awards ceremony and issued that statement to a reporter, I would have been just as disgusted. It's tacky, plain and simple.

I made calls and shot e-mails regarding Leno and his validating Kanye. I don't care how Jay talked to him.....West had no business on that show tonight. If NBC put this up as a stunt...they are further beyond the pale, than I believed.

No Leno in my household. I'm done with him. Enough is enough.
