Kali River Rapids refurb extended

Kenny the pirate just sent out notice that Kali refurb has been extended to March 18th. Didn't see a thread on it yet so just wanted to get this out there for folks it affects, like myself

I know, we are there March 15th. I went to the wdw site to see if it showed closed on that day, and it does
While I'm sure there's a chance it will open back up by time we get there, I decided to not chance it and switched out fast passes. We are there during spring break and it will be crazy busy.

Well that solves my internal debate about whether the little ones will like it, is it worth a FP when we don't know how hot it will be, and so forth.

My understanding is at "some point" it will be reassigned to something else. I decided not to chance availability and rescheduled mine already.

It was supposed to reopen tomorrow, now it will reopen on the 19th of March, I think

I just got an email today that they changed it to Expedition Everest for the same time.

Yep, just got our email too. Changed to Dinosaur. Well, at least this will save some wear and tear on the old reliable ponchos....

I would call or email Disney - they would probably change it to the safari or something else she would like.

We already had Dinosaur planned so I moved that to later in the day and changed Expedition to It's Tough to be a Bug. Good thing is now we don't have to walk from Tusker all the way to Dinosaur then back for the Safari! Bummer b/c we were looking forward to closing out our day with Kali. But this gives us a bit more breathing room throughout the day anyway so I'm not sweating it too much. I don't know that I'd get my girls on Expedition. They're 7 and 5 - I keep hearing Dinosaur is SCARY but we watched the YouTube video and it didn't phase them at all. I'm prepared to walk off of that one though if they're petrified.

Yup ours got changed to Dinosaur too. This is turning out to be a trip of missed rides due to incomplete construction or refurbs. Our pool at POR is still under refurb, Soarin, Frozen ride, Rivers of Light, Avatarland, Wonders of Flight, Pizza Planet (I don't care much for it, but sadly one of the kids fav), Animation Academy, etc. I tried to talk the DW into going this fall but she wanted to go in Feb no matter what. I guess this is what you get for going in Feb. It was touch and go before this, but now considering eliminating our AK day for a rerun at another park.

Got an email today and they changed us to Safari instead. My kids are bummed. Still hope that it could be open for our trip as we are there mid March
