Does anyone else enjoy these icy treats? It's a huge snocone, but the syrup they use to give it flavor is different from those that I have had around my area. Everytime I head down to Epcot this is a must have for me. There are other flavors to choose from but I enjoy strawberry. It's perfect to top off a hot and humid day at Epcot :teeth:

I agree it is something I stop and get everytime I am down at Epcot (like the melon flavor myself, as well as the gelato from Italy

I lovelovelove it. I got addicted to those Japanese syrups when I lived over there - I cannot tell you how many bottles I brought back when I moved home. LOL. I like them all, but I just love the melon. Mmmmmmmm

Our favorite too. So much so that we went looking for a shaved ice machine. But we couldn't find one like the one they use there. If anyone knows of one, please let me know :).

This is a must do every trip, every day in Epcot! We love them! I would buy a machine also if it worked as well as what they use.

Definitely a must do at Epcot. I love the tangerine or a rainbow Kaki Gori.

When I visited Japan, I found that that kaki gori is sold at festivals. I was so excited when I found it--just like visiting Epcot.

Joisey - if you can find a Japanese grocery near you, that might be a possibility.

If you want to go online, http://www.realhawaiianice.com/ has shavers they import from Japan, but they're professional and expensive. I have a cheap hand-cranked model I got in Japan and it's just wonderful in summertime - no problems with it after 8 years, either. If you do a search for "ice shaver" under the Kitchen category on amazon.com you can find inexpensive models. I'd stick with a hand-crank model on teh theory that there are no electrics to break down.

If anyone has a good source for the Japanese flavored syrups, I'd love to know about it. I can get the US ones all over the place, but not the Japanese. "My" was my fave brand

Thanks for the info. I have plent of Chinese Markets near me, but no Japanese. Hmm...maybe I should look into Manhattan :).

this place is one major obsession for my DW. whenever we go to epcot that is usually our first stop, sometimes second stop and usually one for the road.

one of the few WDW must do's for her. one of her co-workers if going to WDW where does my wife tell her to go when they go to Epcot, not Soarin' or TT but go to kaki-gori
