Hi - We arrived at the AKL to stay at Kidani Village today. We are in a far end unit toward the main lodge, Jambo House, with a savannah view. It is so beautiful here. This evening we watched zebra, giraffes, ostrish, impala, ankole cattle, and more. There were 4 or more of each species. It was really amazing and beautiful. Our room is on the second floor, 7254. The furnishings and ambiance are lovely.

We drove up from Clearwater Beach today after visiting with relatives. We didn't have a plan, were tired and the kids a bit crazy. We had the front desk transfer our phone call to Boma, they said we would have a 25 minute wait, and we dressed and walked over. We went right in to eat & had a delicious meal.

What a great start to our mini-vacation. This trip really centered around visiting relatives in Clearwater Beach, and we tacked a 3 night stay here at AKL. Last June we had a marriage blessing (40 wonderful years) at the BCV with a local pastor presiding. Tomorrow we are going to visit his church. We have made a friend. Actually, he is a Disney manager as well as associate pastor at his church.

One of the great things about DVC is the varied and delightful themeing at the different resorts. We have 3 contracts at BVC and usually stay there. We love Saratoga Springs and have stayed there several times. We go to Hilton Head almost every year and enjoy the beach vacations so much we have a nice contract there. We can certainly add AKL - KV to the list of nice places to stay. My advice is to definitely choose the Savannah View.

Thank you for sharing about the beginning of your AKL experience! We can't wait to stay there ~ hopefully sometime in the near future.

AKV is a wonderful resort, we love staying there! Thanks for sharing.

Both Kidani & AKL are great. We love to sit in the room with all of the African artifacts, in the lobby just beyond the check in counter. It's very relaxing in there. Yes, I have fallen asleep in there! :goodvibes

We stayed at Kidani for the first time last fall. What a great resort!!! The staff were great, loved Boma and of course you can't beat being able to walk out of your room (of head down to the lobby) and watch the animals - it is so relaxing.

Our daughter loved the resort so much, that when we were making our plans to go this year, she asked if we could stay at AKV again - no problem for me - so we have another vacation booked and are looking forward to staying at the resort.

Glad you are enjoying your stay!!
