Justins Wish trip :) Pre trip report...

Love the Big Give photos and the trips down memory lane. My great-grandmother's name was Vivian Meyer. :)

I've only been lurking lately, since I've been working on a special project :rolleyes1, but I've love all the photos!!!

Really?! What a coincidence! Hmmmm...a special project eh? are you planning on giving us a hint or just that teaser of a sentence?

I am quite aware of the special project(s)! Hints might be fun, but I'd have to be very cryptic in my participation as I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises. Let's just start by saying that I'm glad you have a lot of experience in party planning.

I'd love to say more but dd is asking for waffles for breakfast so I must go make her some pronto! Have a lovely day :flower3:

This is what Beaker told me when I asked him: "Meep meep meep. Meep meep meep meeeeeeppppp!"

He was pretty excited (but not blown up or anything) so I think it's a good surprise! Hopefully you speak Beakerese so you know what he's talking about. I'm not much good with anything except English so I really can't help anymore than to just pass on Beaker's message.

(Yes, he does live at our house to try to keep him safe from the awful experiments that Bunsen Honeydew makes him take part in.)

Hmmmm, Party planning? That is super cryptic... I'd love to spitball party planning ideas just give me somewhere to start! You know that song Red Solo Cup? Its kindof a hokey redneckish drinking song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cm6Bvcx4vJA) But my friend is kind of obsessed with it and has been known to text me a photo of the cups(more than once) when she passes them in a store, so I've built a theme around the cups for her son's next birthday.... I like a challenge :)

PS: My kids are obsessed with waffles right now and I'd love to try this recipe for shortbread waffles but truth be told I am a bit afraid of the amount of butter used!

Judy (and Beaker) I love the Muppets!! The kids are all big Beaker fans so give him a meep from them!! And while I did take a class on Mah-Na Mah-Na I do not in fact speak meep. :confused3
I'm glad to hear that you are doing your part for Beaker conservation they are an endangered species you know, from all the Honeydew experiments. That and texting and walking big problem with Beakers.
:faint:

I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying your family! Beautiful!! I also LOVE Sophie, can't begin to tell you how many times I've shown her picture.

Here's an new Sophie picture Just for you...

So Yesterday was a loooong day. We arrived at the new eye specialist's at 10:30 yesterday morning, and didn't leave till 1:30. We did have a break in there while waiting for the dilating drops to take effect where we went next door to have a pastry. When we were back in the exam room and the Dr. finally came in Justin said (in his outside voice) "Finally:" Yikes! I explained to the DR. that he was feeling miserable & bored because the drops were making him see double so to do anything it made him feel yucky. I also explained to Justin that he could think that in his head but to say it out loud was rude and could hurt feelings.
see how bored he was by 1:00
IMG_1289.jpg

From there we went for an late lunch/early dinner where he rocked some sunglasses to protect his eyes (its really bright having dilated eyes) He was in such a good mood after he ate (mmmm gnocchi with parmesan, I had clam chowder and salad which was also yummy)
IMG_1294.jpg

Then we were running off to his CNIB appt. where he got his first ID cane and we took an hour walk with His Orientation and Mobility worker learning how to use said cane (hint: it's not a lightsaber!)He did really great with it and respected the rules completely

and then off to social group till 6:30 and after stopping for a snack it was home to bed.

There is a great store in Hollywood Studios where you can rescue your own Beaker (and Gonzo and others) so watch out...you could find some muppets coming home with you too!

You'll just have to wait and see...I'd hate to spoil the surprise(s). Yes, I am fully aware that I am evil (insert evil laugh here). :rotfl2:

hey_jude I will save room in our baggage! Have you hear about the whatnots? they are basically an "extra" in Muppet movies and shows and you can create your own at FAO Schwarzin New York (I would love to go to New York) or you can buy one online @ http://www.fao.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=11534102
This is near the top of my wishlist list when I do actually get to NYC.:thumbsup2

clairemolly ooohhh! Your evil laugh just echoed off the walls in my house and freaked the dogs out! :rotfl2:

Andrea you inspired me!! I made waffles for dinner tonight, didn't try the mega butter recipe just a standard one but I used maple sugar instead of white sugar and added vanilla bean paste along with the extract..all 3 kids came for seconds and one came for 3rds and was cut off before 4ths! after all she has an amazingly incredible fantastic dress to wear she need to fit into!!....can you guess what I am hinting at?.... More to come (including photos) after the kids are tucked into bed....

I'm guessing she'll have more than one amazingly incredible fantastic dress to fit into. Maybe you'll get a shoe horn with one of the Big Gift packages, just in case you need to squeeze her into them, haha! ;)

wow you had a busy day! Justin is rocking his sunglasses :cool1:

I got the cutest thank you note today :goodvibes love how you incorporated the kids finger prints onto the tree!

can't wait to see all your upcoming BG gifts, get that camera ready !

Lisa, Did you notice anything else about the tree? there may be something "hidden" there.... Once more people get theirs I'll post a pic. :)

Judy I know right!? my friends brought one back and it even has the thingy you use when you want the Muppet to wave its hand or gesture! So cool!!

clairemolly I can not even imagine "more" this is truly beyond amazing!
She went crazy for the waffles! She ate more than both of her brothers! We will need a shoe horn!

Restrasz I will let Soph know you like her new headshot! lol!

Stay tuned, I'm off to upload some photos

Wow, OK.
So Big Give #5 came today and right off made me smile:
IMG_1350.jpg

I love that the warning about cats came with an return address label(address painted over) with a photo of a happy orange cat!

It came from Andrea Disname: VBAndrea and Amy Disname: 4monkeys.

Since it was a nice sunny day we decided to open it in the backyard(mabye a little too bright from the squinty eyes)...
Note Justin's face? Thats 1/2 sun is too bright and the other 1/2 is because he's half expecting a cat to jump out of the box!

IMG_1353.jpg

Inside was a note which Hayden read aloud and I have to tell you that Hayden is a super reader and reads well above his age level but each time he reads wish trip he says or at least it sounds like witch trip and the adults have a giggle.

Beneath the note were an awesome appliqued T for each of the boys (perfect for the surprise pirates and pals cruise, methinks!!)

IMG_1367.jpg

And a-beyond-words-incredible Tink dress for Callie!!

IMG_1369.jpg

Can you believe the twirl?!!

IMG_1371.jpg

IMG_1372.jpg

The truly incredible thing are the details, each time I looked at the dress I saw another new detail that had been missed with the previous glance!!

IMG_1377.jpg

IMG_1380.jpg

and look at the detail on Peter and Cpt. Hook! Peter pan is one of my favorites and the look that Hook has, Hahahahahahahaha!! Love it!

IMG_1381.jpg

also One last surprise in the box was a hand drawn sketch by Allison of Yoda for Justin, so cool! J was really impressed and pleased.

Andrea, Amy & Allison...
Thank you so much I can't Imagine how many hours went into these perfect gifts and I can't truly express our gratitude.

PS Amy I need your & Allison's mailing address to send your thank you card, Andrea I have yours from the box : )

Lisa, Did you notice anything else about the tree? there may be something "hidden" there.... Once more people get theirs I'll post a pic. :)

I do see it now that you mention it...won't say were it is though so the others can find it too!

OMG Andrea and Amy outdid them selves with those shirts and the dress, I love a twirly skirt :) and Allison did a terrific job on the Yoda!!!

I love all the pictures you have been putting up. Your kids are adorable!!

Yay for BG packages arriving! Love the t-shirts for the boys and that dress is just amazing! Love the twirl factor! Callie looks like she really likes it. The boys look like they love their shirts too! How cute that Allison drew Yoda for Justin. :goodvibes

You go way above and beyond for your waffles -- I use a box mix and add milk, eggs and oil! I HATE cooking!

The "party planning" hint was in relation to Jen's project (not the BG I sent). The party you need to plan will most likely involve a cake, but beyond that my lips are sealed!

I'm so glad my and Amy's package arrived :) You had better get those shirts in the wash though -- one of our cats even bothers my allergies a bit. Fortunately he's too old to jump up on any of my sewing things, but I'd still feel safer if you wash everything.

The boys look fantastic in their t's -- I was contemplating doing both Peter Pan or one PP and one Hook, but when you posted your Halloween pics it was a given that I make Hayden's shirt Captain Hook! Callie looks super in the dress -- may be a bit cold for Canadian weather right now but for Florida in June I think she'll appreciate it being halter style. I also forgot to tell you I usually have my dd wear bike shorts under her twirl skirts so twirling remains G rated. It looks like Callie already has twirling perfected!

I completely forgot to answer you last pm so I will and will send you Amy's address in a PM as well.
