Just when you thought you've seen all the MAGIC! **See Page 95 for PTR!!!!**

My 5 year old hated the GMR. The gunfire in the beginning just ruined it for him.
Yea, that wasn't a great start to the ride for them! :rotfl:

We haven't done Fantasmic yet because all the reviews I have read say it is scary and loud. Glad to hear Juliana loved it though.
I guess it all depends on the child but I think Juliana could of handled it when she was 3.

Can't wait to hear about the birthday day!
Hopefully I can get to that soon. :surfweb:

Those pictures of Juliana and Christopher are so sweet! :goodvibes
Thank you!!!

You'd never been on GMR before???? I mean, it's not the most amazing ride ever, but you do have to go on it at least once. It's like a Disney obligation, like it or not (like the Carousel of Progress )!
I'm not sure I should even type this at risk of losing all my Disney 'cred' but we haven't been on the CoP either!!! LOLOL We did try once but it was down. :rotfl2:

I've never understood that either. You'd think they'd put those seats closer to the center, but like you said, still not a bad seat. Any seat there has a good view.
The view from the side was OK.. it wasn't horrible. I knew it was to the side but I didn't know it was almost 'BEHIND' the show! :rotfl:

That is just odd... I can't understand why they wouldn't have them?:confused3 I mean it is Disney... you'd think they'd be selling Birthday cards with Mickey Mouse and princesses on them for about a 500% premium or something.:lmao:
Why sell a card for $8 when you can use Disney florist and buy a card with $75 worth of stuff with it? I don't know... we could of driven to Wal-Mart but in the grand scheme of things, the kid was spending her birthday in DISNEY. Did she really need a card that she wasn't going to care about anyway? :confused3

MY DH bought this shirt for himself! He has worn it Djing for a couple day parties:laughing:
He also got a black t-shirt with a blue Mickey wearing headphones, scratch mixing.
I have the black Mickey DJ shirt too... you might see pictures of me wearing it this trip. :lmao:

Weird that your can't get a card. You think that would be a money maker?!
You would think but I guess they want you to spend more money on gifts.

Yay! And update.

You go girl...uh, I mean guy!
Go me... go me!!! :lmao:

I'm not a big fan of movie ride either. It's Ok, but not one I have to do. But then I'm not a big fan of DHS either.
We like it there but we don't hit every ride every time... we basically hit TSM, RnRC, ToT and then go from there... see a show or two and hit the playground.

Congratulations!!!! Beautiful baby boy! Love the Mickey attire and accessories!!

Add me to the list of never seem Fantasmatic! We did plan on going once but we were traveling with my family ...and well... let's just say we needed a break from then. So, on the way to DHS we ditched them and went to play Fantasia mini golf instead :lmao: Blamed it on Jack. Said he was worried about it being to dark( he was 4 at the time) and really wanted to play mini golf instead. :lmao: Bad I know, but fun:rolleyes1
LOLOLOL Sometimes you need to just get away.. even on vacation! :lmao:

Those treats look yummy! I have a weakness for caramel apples. I might have to grab one of those and a cookie too. :thumbsup2
I think the apple was like $10-12... hope you are ready to part with your cash for it!

Hope you all are adjusting to life as a family of 4. Your kids are beautiful and Ana looks like such a great big sis.
Thank you!!! Juliana is doing well.... she is in love with him and has been a big help too. :goodvibes

Hooray for big sister pictures! I'm glad that Juliana is being helpful to Mel. With her sweet disposition, she will take the plus one in stride. I know you and Mel will guide her in the right direction.

She has been getting used to having a baby around and has been a big help. She has her moments but she has been pretty good.

Very nice Fantasmic! pictures! I was astounded that you've never seen it before! I understand why though. Sometimes you just have to test the waters with kids, right? I'm slowly learning that. It's not easy for me.:rolleyes1
Rut Roh! :rotfl:
Juliana could of handled it before but we never tried it. All the books say it is too intense for little kids so we heeded the warnings. :confused3

I cannot for the life of me get why birthday cards are not sold at WDW?:confused3 You would think it would be a big seller.
I donno.... it's not like people are just going to buy a card and not spend any more money after that. :confused3

Thanks for taking some time to update, I know how precious time is right now for you.:goodvibes
I'm trying to move this report along... I'm sure I've lost quite a few ppl.

Look at those cute girls waiting to get into the Great Movie Ride. :goodvibes I liked it when it first opened, but it could use a major overhaul (as can a lot of stuff at the Studios).
I read on Brooks thread that there is a rumor the hat in DHS was going buhbye.

I cannot believe that you have never seen Fantasmic! It is my second favorite show right after Wishes (I like it much better than Illimunations).
We really enjoyed it and I can see us going to see it again... if we ever get back there. :sad1:

Now, I've seen updates with baby pictures on FB, but I think people here would like to see them too. :)
You are right... I need to add some more on here. I haven't even taken the pictures off my camera yet. All the FB pics have just been from my cell phone.

I think we need an "after" picture to compare.
I know... if I did take one it would of looked like this --> :confused3:confused3

You had Beverly for dinner?!
I thought about it. Unfortunately, they don't sell Beverly in the studios. :rolleyes1

Wow. I'm sure Guest Services can wrassle one up for you for about $40 or so. :rotfl:
I stopped at guest services in POP and in the Boardwalk but they couldn't help me. It was like I was the first person to ever ask about a birthday card before. :confused3

I told you I am gonna get them before we leave!!Not to self "GET 2 sweet sixteen birthday cards before Thursday!!

Baby pictures and an update! :woohoo::yay::cheer2:

Love the photos of Christopher and Juliana!

Sounds like a great end to your DHS day! I learned the same things you did about Fantasmic - My DD could have handled it our first trip at at 3 1/2 (we skipped it due to the reviews) and that the Fantasmic Dining Package was not a very good deal because you still had to get there early and the seats weren't that great. We agree about the GMR too! Fun to do but not a must do!

Hope you have a great weekend and get to spend some time with the family!

Oh yay update... I want one of those Disney Apples but can't bring myself to pay 10 dollars for one :rotfl:

Luvin the pics of Ana and her baby brother!

Just a little note to wish you congratulations on the birth of Christopher! He's adorable and his big sis looks so proud to be holding him! Love that. :)

Hope everyone is doing well--and that little guy of yours isn't keeping you and Mel up too many nights a week! ;)

All the best....

I am in shock they don't sell birthday cards in Disney! Sounds like a great DHS day! Hope you and the family are getting in some rest with baby Christopher settling into the house!
I can't believe it either! BYO cards! :lmao:

We are trying to get some rest. He has been a model baby.. so much so that I wouldn't mind having another one- errrrrrr on second thought. :sad2: :lmao::lmao:

Nice pictures of the new guy and big sister!
Thank you Glen!

Shocker upon shocker in this update:
Yes. There have been a few.....

- You'd never been on GMR before. (okay, that's not a real shocker)
LOL
- First time seeing Fantasmic. (I was surprised at that)
I am surprised we never have seen it either. :wizard:
- You didn't buy the "Kicking it old school" shirt. (when I saw that I thought "Oh, you bought that for sure")
I know... I should of bought it. Maybe I'll pick it up the next time we are in WDW.... whenever that is. :confused3
- Birthday cards can't be found at Disney. (Puzzling!)
Maybe I should open a card shop on property... I might make some money. :lmao:

Great update, you totally should have got that shirt!! We have also not seen Fantasmic-I am leary of the crowds....Can;t wait to read about the bday!!
Hey Mary! Your trip is coming up soon!!! :woohoo:

The crowds were crazy but no crazier than leaving Wishes.

I'm not sure I should even type this at risk of losing all my Disney 'cred' but we haven't been on the CoP either!!! LOLOL We did try once but it was down. :rotfl2:

:sad2: You have to. You just have to. Shabby seats and inescapable theater and all. Not to mention the song that I'm not allowed to even sing a few bars of before DBF is like "oh NO..." He pretty much did everything in his power to prevent us from going on CoP on our last trip. ("Yes, I'll ride "it's a small world" with you...:rotfl:) We'll see what he uses as a bargaining chip in January...

Christopher looks like a very handsome little boy. I love his coming home outfit and the pictures of him and Juliana together. She looks like a perfect big sister.

I'm amazed you found time to update with a new baby in the house. I've always thought it was odd, too that the Fantasmic dining package seats are so far to the right. It seems like they should be front and center, but I guess it's easier to save seats on one side than in the middle.

Very good to know that there are no birthday cards on property. Come to think of it, I've never seen anything but postcards in the shops.

Juliana looks very proud with Christopher. it might take a little time, but she'll adjust to having to share the attention, and will be so happy to have a friend for life.
we held on F! until this trip too. I think James handled it better than Maya.
Juliana doesn't leave him alone... you would think she was his mother. LOL She is really good with him, always talking to him and kissing him.

We liked F! and I think after it was over we couldn't believe we never went to see it before. :lmao:

:cheer2: Congratulations on the birth of Christopher :cheer2: Big sis looks happen to have him around. Children are such a blessing.....I wonder why I never had more.......Just came to me.......the labor pains. :scared1:
Thank you!!! Mel had a very good labor this time. When she was in with Juliana it was the total opposite. :sad2: :sad2:

For some reason......I love the movie ride!! :confused3
Some people love Small World too... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I am glad you told me about NO birthday cards at Disney:scared1: !!Now I know for sure we have to get cards before we leave !!I had sorta planned on a Disney one , so your timing is perfect !!!:
Glad I could help you out Rosie. Pack the card before you leave!!!!!!!

Kyle LOVES the GMR , I think we rode it 5 times !!!
Hopefully not 5 times in a row! popcorn::

The family will be seeing Fantasmic for the first time this year !! Also Wishes and MSEP . We always headed back early as Kyle pooped out !! Now he is much more of a nightowl sooooo we think he'll enjoy all the night time activities !!BUT will he get up in the morning
Ooooooooooh.... I would pay just to see Wishes. That's our favorite! I'm glad you guys will get to see all the nighttime fun!

This is why I love the Disd !!! Always learning something new !!See you even surprised Glenn!!:rotfl2:
I was surprised that I surprised Glen too!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

:welcome: Baby Christopher and Congratulations to Tim, Mel and sweet Juliana princess: on the new addition to the family!
Thank you Marv!!!!

Sorry I haven't had a chance to come by before now and personally tell you all I am so happy for you! I was so grateful Kathy kept me updated while we were on our trip, and I'm sure she passed along my well wishes for me, but I had to stop by and do it "in person." Can't wait to keep up with Baby Christopher as he continues to grow, and have you take us along for the ride when he finally makes his first trip to Disney!!!
No worries Marv. I knew you were away. You know how these things happen- spur of the moment. ;)

I hope you had a great trip. I'd like to read about it except I still have your 'other' trip to catch up on.... :surfweb: :rolleyes1

Juliana is going to be such a great help, and such a wonderful BIG SISTER!!!
She has been such a big help already. She really loves that little guy. :thumbsup2

Loving your trip report so far. Makes me remember when my Princess was younger and seeing it thru her eyes. Now we have 2 more Princess so let the Memories begin w/ them too!!!
:welcome: Thanks for joining!!!!

Congrats on your new additions!!!! :yay:

I can't wait to see if you go that pic on the castle.
Who said it actually made it on there? :confused3 :confused3

During our trip in Feb/March (checked out of Pop on 3/6) we were at DTD and my 2 year old was dancing outside of WoD. She had 15 CM's outside watching her and on lady in an "offical" suit was recording her. I just knew she was probably going to be on the castle. But we didn't have our park tickets yet. I will NEVER stop wondering what if... I sure hope you got it. And how great that you actually saw it on the castle. Really a magical moment.
That is so cool!!!! You can always try youtube and see if there is a video on there from that night..

Congrats on the new Baby!!!
Thank you!!!

Congratulations!!!! Beautiful baby boy! Love the Mickey attire and accessories!!
Thanks!!!! This kid is already decked out in the Disney attire... I should post a few pictures of his room. We are brainwashing him already. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Baby pictures and an update!

Love the photos of Christopher and Juliana!
Thank you!!!!

Sounds like a great end to your DHS day! We agree about the GMR too! Fun to do but not a must do!
It's weird.... you read all the books to get an idea of what to expect but until you experience it for yourself, you will never know how your child is going to react. :goodvibes

I only have a few must do's in the studios.... the GMR is not one of them. :rotfl:

Oh yay update... I want one of those Disney Apples but can't bring myself to pay 10 dollars for one :rotfl:
Me either!!!! :lmao:

Luvin the pics of Ana and her baby brother!
Thank you!!! Maybe before the next update I'll post a few more pics. :goodvibes

Just a little note to wish you congratulations on the birth of Christopher! He's adorable and his big sis looks so proud to be holding him! Love that. :)
Thank you!!! I see your trip is coming up soon!!! I'm so excited for you guys!!!

Hope everyone is doing well--and that little guy of yours isn't keeping you and Mel up too many nights a week! ;)
Overall, he is doing a wonderful job at sleeping. If it stays like this it will be amazing... almost to the point where I might consider having another kid.... wait a sec- what am I saying?????? :confused3 :sad2::sad2: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:sad2: You have to. You just have to. Shabby seats and inescapable theater and all. Not to mention the song that I'm not allowed to even sing a few bars of before DBF is like "oh NO..." He pretty much did everything in his power to prevent us from going on CoP on our last trip. HAHA!!!!! I should compile a list of rides/attractions we've never been on. I'm sure you would be shocked of what is on there. :scared1::scared1:

Christopher looks like a very handsome little boy. I love his coming home outfit and the pictures of him and Juliana together. She looks like a perfect big sister.
Thank you!!!! Juliana is adjusting very well to having a baby around. She has been helping us immensely! :goodvibes

I'm amazed you found time to update with a new baby in the house. I've always thought it was odd, too that the Fantasmic dining package seats are so far to the right. It seems like they should be front and center, but I guess it's easier to save seats on one side than in the middle.
I really want to finish this TR up sometime in 2011... :rolleyes1

Don't get me wrong, we still had a good view- even if it was from the side. ;)

Very good to know that there are no birthday cards on property. Come to think of it, I've never seen anything but postcards in the shops.
I don't know why they don't have them. I mean they could charge $10 for a card and people would buy them. ::yes::

Yet another note to self GET BIRTHDAY CARDS!!!!!
::yes:: Birthday Cards!!!!! ::yes::
:bday::bday::bday:

Such a cute photo of Ana and Christoper! happy to hear she is loving on him so much!

great DHS update....we took Megan to F! when she was 2 1/2 and FREAKED out, Jim had to take her out of the area! just saw it again this last trip!

hope you got a little something in the mail...know you are busy !

Congratulations on your expanding family! What a cute little addition you have there!!

Just got back from Disney....as you saw an FB.

My oldest son (22 now) always loved Great Movie Ride. From the time he was little he always said he wanted to work at Disney and be one of the Guides on the Great Movie Ride, then he would go sell toys. :rotfl: When he was in college (which I guess he still is - he is student teaching this semester) we tried to get him to do the college program, but he wouldn't do it. :guilty:

Why would Disney want to sell you a birthday card - when they can sell you a giant plush birthday hat....:sad2: My youngest has been there for 3 of his birthdays now, and I don't think we have ever remembered to buy him a card. The first time we were there they delivered a baloon and a signed card from Mickey to our room - but the last 2 times he didn't get them. I asked about it this year and the gal I talked to said they don't do that. Of course, if I talked to 3 other people I may have found someone who had a different answer.

I swear the Hess Station by the Boardwalk has cards!! Were they out of birthday ones, or did you not see them at all??? :confused3 How strange!!! That would be an easy and obvious thing to carry you'd think-considering all the "celebrating" going on at Disney!

Regardless, sounds like a very nice night! Hopefully you were able to figure out something that resembled a card.
