Just two quick Questions

Just 2 quick questions --
1)Can you use your DVC membership card for free parking at the parks?
I have always used my resort key in the past to park free but if we stay off- property will they honor the card?

2)Can you use your membership card at the other hotels to pool hop?
We wanted to go the Contemporary to look around and maybe use the pool and I was wondering if they would give me a hard time if I showed them my card? They can be very strict when it comes to visitors at non- DVC resorts around WDW.

No to both questions.

Free parking at the parks is not (and has never been) a DVC perk- it is a perk for all onsite guests. Anyone staying at a WDW resort will get a parking pass, allowing them to park without extra charge at the parks.

Pool Hopping is a perk for DVC members while staying at a DVC resort on points. You will have to display your room ID, identifying you as a DVC member, for this perk.

Your DVC membership card will allow for free valet parking at any DVC resort (BWV, VWL and BCV)- whether staying onsite or not. It will also entitle you to most DVC member discounts, regardless where you are staying.

It should not be a problem just to 'look around' (not to pool hop), at another resort regardless if you are a DVC member. We go resort exploring quite often (okay, I fess up....My wife shops, and I go have a beer).
