I am working very hard on the mini meet list. I have been in contact with quite a few people who are hosting meets to sort things out. I'm bouncing ideas off people left and right. I've run into a few snags here and there and everywhere. I hope (this is a big word here) to have something ready for you soon. I have to give my info to Patinmn and he said he would gladly put it into his wonderful itinerary form for all of you as soon as he can.
Be advised-NOTHING IS CARVED IN STONE, except the official events. Everything is subject to change. Last year, we worked hard to keep things flowing smoothly and I expect we can do the same thing year.
So once the itinerary is out, we can work out the bugs.
Thanks for your help!

Thank you for this lovely update Barb! We LOVE UPDATES! :)

Pat's form will make it a lot easier to read and understand. :)

As always, Barb, you work your cute little rear off, and it is very much appreciated by all of us. Take 10 deep breaths and relax honey!

Thanks for taking this on Barb and for the update. Both are much appreciated.

Thanks so much Barb. We all appreciate all your help.

Wow Barb, you are doing some speedy work there!! Thanks for the update!:D

Thanks for taking this on Barb. I tried to start it as you know, but yikes!!!!! It is no easy task and we appreciate you doing this and of course Patrick's wonderful itinerary!

Thank you so much Barb. This sorta reminds me of last year. Except last year, didn't we do this in early Spring? It was so much fun to brainstorm everyone's ideas like last year, and it was so much fun to plan different things.

Last year we knew that the DIS mini-meets were not "written-in-stone" and that they would be arranged around the Official DIS-CON-I events.

But isn't that what the Disney Information Station web site is all about?

Getting Disney planning ideas from each other here on the DIS, or giving Disney planning ideas to each other to help each other out so that we can have the best possible Disney experience possible.

I bet that we would have had a lot more DISers signed up by now for DIS-CON-II if we would have been allowed to brainstorm ideas and plan different DIS mini-meets as early as last Spring.

Just think of all the interest and excitement that it would have generated.

As other DISers came to this board, they might add their suggestions that maybe no one else thought of. This would lead to them getting excited and wanting to come to DIS-CON-II. They would go to the other DIS boards and share with their different friends what was going on the DIS-CON board and maybe get those friends to join us and add their ideas and excitement. And those DISers tell other friends by word of mouth, and so on...and so on.

I can't tell you how many DISers that have come over here to the DIS-CON-II board and ask what's going on the DIS-CON-II board, what's new, etc. I see where we all tried to explain and that we are waiting patiently...lol.

I was just trying to create interest with my list of names(I want to meet everyone and I lost a lot it, but I'm going to rebuild it), and possible DIS mini-meets, too, and maybe a limegreen name tag with our DIS name and real first name that we could attach to the bottom of our pin lanyard hook thingie instead of a ribbon somewhere on our shirt or backpack or waist pack. Afterall, just about everyone comes up close to look at everyone's Disney pins and if they see a laminated, limegreen card at a distance, they could pretend to look at your pins and ask about the DIS. Free advertisement for the DIS, a good way to meet and greet other DISers at WDW. I just wanted to brainstorm ideas, but it is hard to brainstorm by myself...lol.

We all have one thing in common. The love of everything Disney.

But to experience that same magical feeling about Disney in person with other friends, including your family, takes that magical feeling up another whole Disney Magical level (in my most humble opinion).

I know...as Jason says on the Community Board...I talk to much...lol.

I just want to thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Barb-for-Real...lol...for trying to organize these DIS mini-meets on such short notice.

And I want to thank you for your precise and frequent answers to my questions and mainly ideas or brainstorming.

In conclusion, I hope that no one's feelings are hurt by these comments. They are not meant to hurt any one's feelings. I am so grateful for the Disney Information Station that Mr. Pete Werner created. And I am so grateful for all the WebMasters and Moderators and posters that contribute so much of their free time, and to give their Disney ideas.

May I say something personal...I almost didn't post this. I am afraid to write my ideas on the DIS. I am afraid to express myself on the DIS. I don't know when I started feeling this way, but I guess that it has been some time now.

Most Sincerely, RaySharpton :)

Barb, thanks for the update. I appreciate that you have taken this task on and I look forward to 'playing' with the itinerary soon. It will be so much fun to start some serious commando style planning!

And Ray, {{{HUGS}}} I am so looking forward to seeing you again!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Ray, you should never feel that you are afraid to post something. Your thoughts and ideas are welcome and I know how much time you put into your posts.

I came into this rather late and there was only so much I could do. I think we have more than enough mini-meets (as poor Barb is finding out! LOL) and maybe things would have been better if everything was done earlier, but there isn' much we can do about it now.

I will be announcing my Plan B later tonight (after Big Brother and CSI :p) and hopefully it will help bring our numbers up considerably! :D How's that for a teaser?

Hey WCC!

Don't be silly. This is Thursday. Survivor is on tonight. Big Brother?? Never heard of it. ;)

PS: We love ya, Ray!

I'm getting so excited about the Dis-con special planned events and mini-meets.

To RaySharpton----You sound like a real "sweet heart". although I haven't meet you in person you sound like someone I'll enjoy knowing.

I'll see you all back on the boards after Big Brother.

My DS had a Jazz band Concert tonight so I had to tape Survivor AND Big Brother:( . He doesn't want me to watch them until tomorrow when we can all watch them together.:(
But I am NOT tired at all right now............:smooth:
I think I'll watch BB now and wait on Survivor 'til tomorrow (i like Survivor better, so that will be a "sweet"thing to do!)

At the risk of hijacking Barb's thread :smooth: I hear this Survivor is a little more aggressive than others. This group of survivors has some trouble getting along with each other.
