Everytime I look at this picture I just can't help but say... Run Forest run!!!

But the truth be told it was an amazing and graceful thing to watch a 7 week old Giraffe run.

Oh yea... We saw a lot of them... But their parents kept most of them under control. As for the wild life. It was pretty cool waking up to Giraffes and Zebras and Greater Kudo.

LOL, well some of the "wild animals" you spoke of were not too well controled by their parents when we were there in March! There were a couple of young males running up and down the halls and playing "pirate" with shooting and everything at 7 AM from the rope bridge on 5th floor that goes over the lobby. The "target" was in the lobby running and shooting. This went on for quite some time, so I suspect the parents were still snug in their room. At first I thought it was funny as we watched from the club level lounge, but it got less so as time went on.

Oh, baby giraffe running!!! Excellent. Our Anniversary celebration really begins in VB and continues to VWL, but I love AKV and a few of us are getting to AKV on the Friday night before others arrive. I am so glad that DVC expanded to the AKL. The animals never fail to thrill me, and once Kidani opens and the whole resort is complete it will just be better!
