Tutto Italia seems to be really pushing the envelope with their absurd prices. I realize everyone has different budgets and some are more than willing to pay high prices for food for varying reasons, but a cannoli is a cannoli, and $12.00 is blatant overpricing. You know it's the same cannoli that is sold at the kiosk just outside their door for $4.00, with plate art added, but come on. I say no to the $12.00 cannoli! If you don't agree, just move me to the Budget Board! ;)

That is pretty ridiculous. Other desserts at other restaurants are usually $5 - $7. A $12 dessert is quite a jump.

I thought all of their prices were a bit out there, in fact we were going to be try but when I saw the menu, I decedied if I was going to spend that much I would just go have a steak at the Yachtsman. I just could not justify that for Pasta.

How bout...."Just say NO to the 16.00 NO Chicken Caesar salad"

16 for some lettuce and dressing is ABSURD.

It's $19 with chicken.

And $25 with shrimp.

That's still not as bad as the $12 cannoli. :rotfl:

I wonder if they require a jacket and tie to order the $16.00 ceasar salad? :upsidedow

At those prices I'd rather eat at American Adventure!

agnes!

Honest to pete, if anyone can find a reasonably priced food at Disney, come find me...without the DDP we'd not be able to swing the prices there...our dinner at Narcosse's was over 400 bucks!! and even at Spoodles which was just so/so it was over 100 for 2 people...I live about 15 minutes from the coast of ME/NH and there are some unreal restaurants in our area...for 100 bucks 2 people can get a killer meal....I would not be very happy with the quality of the food for the cost at many of the places we ate vs. what you can get outside of Disney....

Im suprized it's still only a one TS dining meal and not 2 or are there limits on what you can eat?

It had better be one of those monster cannolis!!!

You are right - $12:scared1: Just another reason I love DDP. Of course, the prices "artificially" inflate the total I have to leave a gratuity on in January - which is not good...

I've looked at the menu on wdwig and either you better be on the DDP or have a very large dining budget...even for lunch.

Since I don't fall into either category, I'll pass.

MMmmmm...I can't wait to try the $3 soda myself...actually, it's funny if you take a look at the drink menu prices too ;)

DH and I will be there...but with our DDP only! I'm looking forward to at least trying it out!

Definite skip for me. I can get (I'm sure) better and more authentic Italian food in the Village for SO much less!!!! Yay for Piccolo Angolo!!

Just another reason I love DDP.

For those of us who don't do the DDP (tried it once, spent too much time eating too much food) these continually escalating prices are pushing us right out of WDW restaurants. I've already cut back my normal ADR's to half of what we did last time. Glad for the DVC, at least we can eat in our room!

I had fond memories of Alfredo's since we went there a few times with a big group on family vacations, but I hadn't eaten there in years. Looks like I won't be trying this one, either - even in Wisconsin you can get good Italian food for a fraction of that price. Even in my kitchen... and my co-worker's mom, who's Sicilian, will keep me flush in cannolis (for free)!

We will do the DDP this year, based on wanting to return to some of the TS restaurants and to try Tutto Italia. However, with this trip, it will probably be the last time that we eat in a WDW restaurant. Next visit, I will be going to one of those prepare your meal in advance places, assembling about 8 dinners, and then cooking them in my villa, eating them on my balcony--quiet, private and really not much fuss. I love Disney, but I draw the line at being snookered.

I agree. I posted on another thread that I thought that the $12 cannoli is ridiculous and that I could get a box full of them at home for $12. Really good ones too, straight from a good Italian bakery. Yummmm.

Has anyone had the cannolli? Is there anything special about it? Is it the same as the one they sell elsewhere in the Italy Pavilion?

I'm one of the only people on the other thread about this restaurant actually holding out hope for it but I am curious about the cannollis.

I don't have any ADR'S there at my next trip in November.........I would love to see the reviews.

But I have to say, I hope that the reviews compare to a top notch resturant here in NYC............those prices are CRAZY! and by the looks of that menu there is nothing to brag about:confused3
