......at the end of that movie when they're sitting at the stoplight in the car next to a police station, does that mean he confessed to killing her lover? I know this is a wayyyyyy of topic, useless question, but I really want to know. Pretty please

It has been a while, but I thought they were getting ready for him to confess.

It has been a while since I've seen it, but my interpretation of the ending was that it was really left to the viewer's imagination. Either he was going to confess or to continue to live as they were.

I think they leave it up to you to decide what he does. If I remember we watched on DVD and they had an alternate ending in the extras. I really liked the movie!

Darn it! I hate movies like that....just tell me :badpc:

my interpretation was that he was going in to confess.

I can't imagine his personality doing otherwise..

hmmm

maybe they should have the sequel?

He goes into the police station in the alternate ending on the DVD. So, I always thought with the ending that was shown that they would each live with their transgressions without speaking of them again.

I thought so too.

Now you have to go rent DERAILED. It was really good. We just saw it last night and we really enjoyed. In a similar vein as Unfaithful.

I also saw this for the first time last night...I stayed up to watch it till the end to see what would happen...and then that inconclusive ending! I agree, just tell us what happened!

That is the way I took it too.

I thought that too. If you watch closely, the brake lights come on, but NOT the white backup/reverse lights - which they would have used to back up to the Police Station.

I do agree, I hate endings like this. :badpc:
Diane Lane was fantastic. :cheer2:

Since they were at a 4 way intersection I viewed it as them coming to a crossroads and having to make a very painful decision. Of course, that decision is left to the viewer to answer "What would YOU do?". Not necessarily "What did the characters do?".
