Just returned from GREAT trip... BUT some words of warning for members:

They said the light structure was outdated, bla bla bla bla, basically I think it was just another cost cutting situation.

Hopefully though due to guest complaint they will bring them back.

Yep, I am still getting over the loss of the Swan Boats at MK. the Melvin the Moose Character Breakfast at Pioneer Hall, Horizons, If You Had Wings, the original Journey Into Imagination, Magic Journeys, Captain EO, the short-lived Tapestry of Nations parade in Epcot, the 10% DVC discount at Disney Stores, and the days when valet parking was free everyhwere on site. Nevertheless, there is always something new and imaginative added to make one know that Disney really cares about the sensations you experience, like the Devy Cee infomercials.
Don't forget the biggie... The Adventurers Club, and the rest of the clubs at Pleasure Island.

I like the new dock for the SSR and OKW boats. As someone noted, it's right by Paradisio 37 and very close to Raglan Road. Not far at all to Fultons or the Westside restaurants. We dine out much more frequently than we go to the shops of the Marketplace.

The change in the SSR boats happened when THV opened. When we were there in june we were unaware and boarded the boat at the reg. dock with 2 carriages and 2 sleeping DGS's. I wasn't too pleased about having to get off and boarding another boat with them to return to SSR. our boat captain was awesome and radioed for permission to take us directly to SSR and they okayed it. For our Nov. trip we just readjusted knowing where we needed to get on the boat. Not a big deal when we knew in advance. The boat captains were great telling us trivia etc. Although we really didn't have any bus problems in Nov. (even with staying at THV) there was one incident on a bus returning from Epcot where a family boarded with a carriage and the dad had a drink (? non alchohlic or not?) in his hand. The driver made him dump it out they then got into an exchange not particularly nice( re folding his carriage, getting kicked off the bus etc.) They were both not backing down and I felt really sorry for the wife and small child. We heard the driver call dispatch and ask for security back at SSR. It was really uncomfortable for all of us .

Well, there are rules for the buses - no eating and drinking on the bus and strollers must be folder and stowed. Not so difficult. It would really make a bunch of guests angry if the bus just sat there waiting for a stupid guest to follow the rules so the bus could depart.

I'm glad to hear that magical things are still happening, as that just takes your whole trip up a notch. I guess I just missed those threads.
