Hello everyone!
Thought I'd share with you our first trip "home" as DVC members! We had a blast!
We arrived in sunny & warm Orlando around 9:45am from rainy and cold Virginia! Picked up our rental at L&M, very good service and rates! And on our way to BCV!
We stashed our baggage into storage (our room would be available around 4:00pm)
Standing in the lobby was a wonderfully cheerful gentleman wearing yachtsman attire he saluted us all as we walked in with a Welcome Home! Checked in, then changed from our long pants and sweaters to tanks and shorts...headed back to the car to try out Sea World for the first time! The line for Krakken was about 10 minutes. The dolphin and whale shows weren't as crowded as they could have been (5 minutes to showtimes and still had great seats not in the soak sections though)
When we arrived back at BCV it was about 5pm so room was ready. We asked for Epcot view Rm 475, the view was great but it was sort of noisy during the day because the street was right below us! next time we'll ask for quiet pool side!
Had a wonderful time at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue! 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella and Friends (the Paella was great but sad to say: Cinderella and Prince Charming weren't as charming as they could have been! They were in such a rush to get back to the "castle" and there was barely anyone there) Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla lingered around and played with DS and DD! Princess Story Book breakfast in Norway was wonderful and the princesses took their time at everyones table! Cape May cafe was also great for dinner one night!
The parks weren't so crowded, there were many colleges are out on spring break! And so were our Canadian friends to the north!
Our only downside to the trip was that there were many young adults (teenagers) couldn't seem to control their behavior or language around the parks...even after getting some looks from parents with young children.
