Just ordered pal mickey for 27.99

Sawgrass Mills still has them in stock. I just called and ordered one. They must be doing a lot of this because the CM had no problem at all taking care of it. It was $38.94, shipped to me in GA.

My kids (ages 2 & 5) will love it for our upcoming mid-June trip. They won't care that it's not the 'latest version' and I was more than happy to save some money!

I agree 100%. He still downloads all the current park info when you enter the parks. And my DD loves him.

Does anyone else think that the battery door on the old pal mickey is a pain? I had a heck of a time changing the batteries! Does anyone else have any hints on how they change theirs, I squished the spring down with a screw driver but it wasnt fun!

We just got back and I took my older version of Pal Mickey with me. He updated just fine when we went into the parks. The main difference I noticed between the old and the new besides the outfits is the strap that the new one hangs by. It can be worn around the neck. Unfortunately they don't sell them so that people with the older version can use it. I did find one nice CM that gave me one when I inquired about purchasing just the strap and after that Pal Mickey was soooo much easier to use (well carry around the parks). The clip with the original pal mickey just wouldn't stay clipped.

I've been trying to figure out whether or not I'd get the new Pal Mickey or the old one...but based on this description I think I'll save my $20 (I'd get the AP discount & one of the three available freebies).

NOTE: This is a REVISED price for passholders. The POS system only recognizes Pal Mickey at a $65.00 retail. The CM I spoke with said Mickey just needs to be activated in the park and he is good to go. I asked as we are not going until Feb 2006 and she said he will be fine. She said the new one really is only a different outfit and they download the same info. Even if its a bit less it beats $65 plus tax.

Well, I ordered and received my first one, and now we decided to order a second one! I think this is something the kids might not want to "share", so we'll go for two. My question....I ordered a few pins with the first one to take advantage of the shipping; now when I order the second, I'd like to order some other (bargain?) items, but am wondering if there is a website I can visit to see what else is available. I don't think they have a website. They generally have a good selection of LAST YEAR's park merchandise. I bought a 2004 WDW tee-shirt for about $5. They have all sizes of clothing, lots of beanies, some pins. We were there a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing some of the toy monorail parts and those collectible ride vehicles.

If you call when they open - 9:30 or 10 AM EDT, the CM's will probably have time to talk and maybe they can help you pick something out over the phone?

No you won't if you act fast....my order came in days and I think by UPS. I ordered late afternoon and it was mailed out the next day. What have the more recent recepients ecperiences.
