I have never been more proud to be an American than I am today! And I'm really not afraid to travel anywhere. To be honest, I would be more afraid if we had a president who couldn't stand up for our country the way Bush has.

I'm kind of surprised, honestly. I was proud to be an American when Clinton was in office, and I thought his presidency was disgraceful.

I wasn't too sure about Kerry but changed my mind last night. I think he gave a really strong speech. I think he can "rally the voters" in the same way Clinton did, a trait that I don't think Gore had. I think Kerry/Edwards would be a great ticket. Keep Hillary out of it, that would be a big mistake.

I couldn't help noticing how much Chris Heinz looks like his dad. Here in PA, we expected his dad to run for president some day, then he was tragically killed in 1991. Teresa may end up being first lady after all.

Don't forget that this is not a popular election, it's based on the electoral system. If it were just who gets the most votes then all Howard Stern would have to do is get all of his listeners to vote for him and Voila... President Stern.

And who did the calling and where did they call? Let ME call registered voters in Utah and we'll get about 80%-20% in favor of President Bush.

I'll be voting for Bush, again, this November!!

Republican Presidents are almost always better for farmers, in that we get better prices for what we grow. When Clinton was in office my DH had to find a "second job" because crop prices (and hog prices too, but we finally had to sell out of that business because it stayed too low for too long ) were so horribly low.

Now, with Bush, this year we sold soy beans at $9, we've NEVER had that good of a price before!

So, MY vote will DEFINITELY be for BUSH!!!

Another Bush/Cheney voter here. Joe Lieberman was really the only Democrat that I would have seriously considered voting for in the general election, so when he dropped out, the Democratic party lost any chance whatsoever of me voting for the Democrat in November.

I remember the night I went to see Andrea Boccelli, and Menino and wife were sitting front row, center, and then marched up on stage and gave Andrea flowers... I was almost sick and then wondered to myself.... I wonder if he paid for his tickets.. I did. He mumbled through his speech and I was horrified.. I guess that is why he is nicknamed "Mumbles" in Boston..

He will not be very popular with the residents of Boston when the whole city is in a mess with the Convention coming to town... never mind the big convention center that is unfinished.. remind me to avoid Boston at all costs.

AFR, I agree with you. Lieberman was the only Democratic candidate that I would have considered voting for. Once he was gone, all that was left to do was watch the rest of the pack beat up on each other.

I hope he chooses Edwards as a running mate. I like Edwards, I think he has a bright future, and I'd like to see him as president one day. For now, I'd be very, very happy to vote Kerry/Edwards.

Of course, I'd vote for just about anyone to get Bush out of office.
