Still obsessing over the tickets...especially now that I'll get to use them in 12 days!!:cool1:

We have the Free Dining Package, which includes a one-day/one-park ticket. I'm looking at upgrading to a 7 day Park Hopper - according to my math, that costs $1487.81 for 4 adults and 1 child with tax. From that I subtract $384.00 (not including tax) to account for the ticket which is already on my reservation. This leaves me having to pay $1103.81 to get the tickets I want.

Question 1 - Did I do this right? I didn't subtract tax from my total because I figured that it was included in the tax for my hotel reservation.

Question 2 - I think the Park Hopper charge is only one charge per ticket, not one charge per day, correct? So after I subtracted $384.00 for the tickets I've already purchased, I don't need to add a separate $260 to upgrade them to Park Hopper like the rest of my days, do I? Would I have to pay extra taxes on that as well?

Question 3 - My youngest child is listed on my friend's reservation. I can just pay for all of my family's tickets in one payment once we check-in right (we are both arriving together)? She doesn't need to do it since it's her name on the reservation for that room, does she? We are a Grand Gathering if that makes any difference.

Thanks so much - we're getting down to the wire and I'd hate to be standing at the check-in counter trying to figure out how to rob Peter to pay Mickey because my math was off. I have $1400 set budgeted for tickets (including tax).

1. When you finish paying for your package, you will have paid the tax for the room and also paid the tax for the kind of ticket you ordered. So when upgrading after entering the first park*, you pay the difference in ticket price with tax for the kind of ticket you want to end up with versus the ticket price with tax for what you ordered in the first place.

2. The hopping option is about $55. per ticket card including the tax for that portion (or increment). Semantically, if you upgrade from one-day-one-park to 7-day-hopper at the resort front desk or inside the first park, then you paid for the hopping and don't have to pay for it again outside the second park.

3. Your youngest, who was booked on your friend's room reservation, had her ticket charged to your friends. After you get there and check in, you can upgrade her ticket separately using the same rule of paying the difference* between what was ordered and what kind of ticket you want. And reimburse your friends for the ticket as originally ordered.

*Upgrading prior to entering a park may result in a slightly higher price to achieve the upgrade depending on whether a ticket price increase had taken place since you booked the package.

$620 difference four adult one day one park to seven day one park
$133 difference child one day one park to seven day one park
$210 five tickets to hopper

$963 plus $62 tax (aaprox) = $1,025.

So with $1400 set aside in my budget for tickets, I should have enough and to spare...that's a huge relief! I'd rather over-budget than under-budget. And the park hopping upgrade will cover the ticket already on the reservation as well as the days I'm adding.

In addition to paying for my reservation, I also paid a set amount toward my friend's room to cover the ticket, portion of the room, taxes, etc. We worked it out per person.

Thank you so much!:flower3:
