OK, so I have just one more opinion question (I shouldn't actually promise this too soon as I don't make my ADR's until May 5th, but it's just too far away and I have too much time to think!)

Initially I was going to do Artist Point on the first night of our arrival, we're staying at the WL and I wanted to go early enough so we could take the boat to MK to see Wishes afterwards. Also, although it doesn't seem to get talked about a whole lot on this board, Artist point get's rave reviews in most of the literature I've read. However, the view from the California Grill looks like it's beautiful:goodvibes AND all the food pictures that people keep posting from there look amazing! What I will say is that the husband does not like sushi but I do.....he's more of a steak man himself. When I first started planning I wanted to go to CG and I've changed my mind about a thousand times, I just don't want to regret NOT going there and doing Artist Point instead....decisions, decisions! But since I trust you guys and you have more knowledge on the Magical World of Disney than I do, I figured I'd ask:flower3:

ALSO, as an aside, what do you guys thing of Party for the Senses during Food and Wine Festival? It would be our last night there. We're already going to try for V&A reservations so is the Party worth it or not?

Thanks again guys!!!:dance3:

Both restaurants are excellent. The only advantage to the CG is the view, and you can walk out onto the roof of the Contemporary.

Check out both menus, and see which one appeals to you and your husband more. You can't go wrong either way.

I tried Artist Point twice many years ago and have not been back. I thought the food was just so-so and the service terrible. I have been to California Grill a number of times and we will be back. If your hubby is a steak guy, I can highly recommend the oak fired filet at the CG. It is very tasty! FWIW, although the CG offers sushi I don't think of it as a "sushi restaurant". That being said, the sushi rolls at the CG are quite good :).

We went to Artist Point last December and it was fantasic. The food was absolutely amazing! We had a party of 10 adults and each one of us loved everything we had. The beef tenderloin was great and the little onion that comes with it was absolutely amazing. I also highly recommend the iceburg salad. The cucumber dressing was so good. The service was also outstanding. Our waiter answered everyone's questions and they were very accomodating about changing the sides offered with each dish. I would go back here whenever I have chance. Actually, my group is going back in September during free dining. I can't wait.
