Just got off a 3 night Christmas cruise on the Dream. It was our first time and let's just say we already put our deposit down for the next. I'll try to answer any and all questions if I can. There will be a trip report to follow along with some photos. Can't thank everyone enough for all the info leading up to the trip.

We did the same! Got off the 4 night Dream in early November, and did the placeholder (then shortly after returning home booked) a 3 night for just my husband and I next December. How did you like the Merrytime cruise? What special things did they do? How were the water temps at CC?

What things do you think exceeded your expectations? What met your expectations, and what if any failed to meet?
What was your favorite activity?

Did you book a placeholder while you were on board?
We pulled the trigger and did an actual date. We had an idea I'm our head for our son's birthday in early 2018.

The merrytime cruise was fun, I actually got into your the Christmas spirit because of it. I also enjoyed it because it wasn't over obnoxious. We only really watched the Tree lighting ceremony and got to enjoy the live Christmas music throughout the cruise. As far as the h20 temps we are from New Hampshire so it was perfect for us. Cool when you got in but easily enjoyable.

As far as expectations went I would say that the cruise as a whole exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, absolutely amazing. The service was excellent. Everyone was incredibly cordial. Honestly I don't think I could find a flaw on our trip that involved Disney. We went to Atlantis in Nassau, that I can easily skip next time. The boat is huge, I barely feel like I saw a 1/4 of it. My favorite activity was the aquaduck and all the pools. On the last night my wife and I got to catch a cocktail at Pink, great service and I wish I had written the bartender's name down. He was awesome. We talked about cooking the whole time. Our son constantly begged us to drop him off at the kids club, he loved it there, when we weren't on the aquaduck.

We just got off the ship today, too! We really enjoyed our cruise and were blessed with nice weather. One of the Christmas holiday activities we enjoyed was decorating the gingerbread houses. It is a special (free) ticketed event and we picked up our tickets when we boarded at the Port Excursions desk. They don't let you take the left over gingerbread off the ship due to customs regulations, but we ate too much of it anyway. It was our 9th Disney cruise and we also have already booked our 10th for next year. It's nice having that 10% discount and $100. obc with the on board booking. Since we have seen the shows so many times, we often spend more time watching the first run movies in the theatre, relaxing watching the ocean, and reading, and this cruise was no exception. We also loved the fact that they now have the Palo brunch for the 3 day cruises on the Nassau port day now.

Which of the evening shows did you see and can you rank them from your least to most preferred.

We never made to a show. My wife tried to get there. Too much to do in such a short time. We did see the Pirate Show on the main deck and our nieces saw villians, for the 3rd time.
