I've been asking the family (DW, DD17, DS15, DD10 and DD9) to give me their list for the past few weeks and I finally made them do it last night. After evaluating TGM's picks for the parks I have the general touring plan in mind so I felt ready to make some plans. I guess it is still 1) early enough and 2) a slow enough season that I was able to get just about everything EXACTLY as I had requested -- big change from our Aug 2006 trip with free dining. Now that they are done I'll stress over if I picked the right park for the day, are we spending too much time traveling from place to place, should we eat later since the parks close too early, etc. My plans also now assume that we need to buy the park hoppers -- which is another reason I may change if I have 2nd thoughts about spending the extra money. I'll probably make 5-6 changes between now and then so I thought I'd ask you all for what you think.

Here goes:

  • Jan 17th -- Whispering Canyon at 6:50pm (then back to resort for early evening)
  • Jan 18th -- our Son's 16th Birthday :scared1: -- 50's Prime Time at 12:10pm
  • Jan 18th -- Rose & Crowne -- 7:20pm
  • Jan 19th -- Got Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast -- 8:20am (they also had 8:50 and 9:20am in case you're interested -- our think I should claim the later time)
  • Jan 19th -- Chef Mickey's at 5:10pm -- then nothing until 7:30 or so
  • Jan 20th -- tried to make something for the new Donald's breakfast at Tusker House but still not available -- did do Boma at 4:40pm (never been here)
  • Jan 21st -- Sci Fi at 12:15pm
  • Jan 23rd -- Cape May Cafe at 9am (not much else to pick from here)

Let me know what you all think.

I ike Sic-Fi more than most, but I don't think I'd do it twice in one trip.

I'd stick with the early CRT ADR if you think you can all be up and pleasant that early. I think it would be really cool to be in the park before it opens, but my family would be openly hostile if I planned anything for 8AM on vacation! LOL

Aside from that, your plans look good. We'll be at Sci-Fi at the same time on the 21st, so keep an eye open for lime green Mickey tags hanging from a vintage Disney backpack!

Thanks -- and you helped me catch a typo -- on the 18th we are having lunch at the 50's PT since I think it closes on the 20th for refurbishment. I like Sci-Fi too but not enough for twice in one trip.

I think we can make the early up -- it will actually only be me (Dad) and the two younger girls (10 and 9) -- the 17 and then 16 year old have no interest so why pay the extra money. The 3 of us will be at a table for 4 so I can add my wife later if she decides to join -- if not those 3 can sleep in a bit and meet at in Fantasyland at 9:05.

Thanks.

Your reservations sound wonderful. Can we come too? Actually it sounds like you do Disney with a large family of various ages. You sound a lot like us. We have found these cards really helpful. You might want to give them a try. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220148964197&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=012

I've never seen these guides -- they look cool. I just re-subscribed to Tour Guide Mike. We used his plans when we went last in Aug, 2006 and they really helped.

Thanks :)
