Family of 4 with 2 young ones (5 and 4yoa), at WDW March 3 - 10, staying at CBR.

3rd: none (wanted Crystal Palace but no luck)
4th: Dinner at BOMA Animal Kingdom Lodge @ 6:35pm
5th: Breakfast at Crystal Palace @8:05am
6th: Breakfast at Princess Storybook Akershus EPCOT @ 8:35am
Dinner at Le Cellier EPCOT @ 7:40pm
7th: Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine DHS @ 8:30am
8th: Dinner at Mama Melrose's DHS @ 6pm
9th: Chef Mickey's at Contemporary @ 6:35pm
10th: 11:45am flight, so probably no time

Questions:
I made the BOMA reservation since that evening is extra magic hours at Animal Kingdom. I'm assuming that the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a short walk from the Animal Kingdom park, correct?

You can't actually walk to Boma. AKL is actually a short bus ride away. You have some of my fav's on the list (Crystal Palace, Le Cellier, and Chef Mickey's). Have a great trip!

Looks great to me! Here are mine for Feb 14-20. Lots in common!

2/14 - TRex for lunch if I can get res
2/15 - CP for dinner
2/16 - Boma/dinner
2/17 - LeCellier/dinner
2/18 - Sci-Fi/dinner
2/19 - CRT/lunch, Chef Mickey's/dinner

I can't wait!!! :yay: Hope you have great experiences!

OP, as tripplanner pointed out, you can't walk to AKL from AK.

What we did last trip was to take the resort bus from AK to AKL for our res. The tricky part is getting back to your resort from AKL. What we did was to take a cab from AKL back to our resort. Since we were staying at nearby All-Star Movies, it was a $6 cab ride. A bargain considering we would have had to take a bus back to a park, then another back to our resort. We will do that again this trip. Also, well worth it to go to Boma!!

Thanks for the advice.

I'm probably going to cancel our BOMA reservation though. I really don't want to have to take any taxis while at DW.

You don't have to take a taxi. You can take a bus to any park, and then a bus back to your resort. Not being that familiar with CBR, I think the best thing to do would be a bus from AKL to AK, then from AK to CBR. At best, it's an extra 5 minute bus ride. At worst? Not sure....

Mark2741, I see, you said evening EMH, so you were probably hoping to walk over to eat, then go back to the park? You could just take the bus both ways, it's a pretty short bus ride. Boma is SO good!! But if you were hoping to take advantage of the EMH, it probably would kill most of your evening hours.

Whatever you decide, have a great trip. Can't go wrong with all your great ADRs!

BTW (and sorry for being a stalker on your thread! ;) ), I have heard that Tusker House, right at the AK park, is sort-of similar to Boma flavor-wise. I haven't tried it, but if you were looking for something with a little different flair, it might fit the bill and work better into your schedule?

I wouldn't cancel Boma. My family thinks the food is some of the best in WDW. It was by far our best meal this last trip. Maybe you could try for an earlier ressie so you don't miss too much park time during EMH. The only meal that you have on your list that can compare in quality of food in my opinion is Le Cellier. However, I think your choices are all good. We have done all except Askerhaus and have enjoyed all. CP is good food and fun characters, Chef Mickeys has fun characters and DELICIOUS desserts. Love the filet with mushroom risotto, and cheese soup at Le cellier.
Have a great time whatever you decide.
