Hackles up....time to crow like a rooster!!! Peter pan works because of several significant features that the neighbors do not have:

* a flying pirate ship is far better that a caterpillar on opium.
* flying above the scenery, with a song in your ear is far better then " What the...? driving hell-bent
* London at night is far better than seven folks peering over a candle into the darkness
* the wind at your hair, the moon as your guide, that little dip that always has me grasping the mast
* a thimble is far better than the smile of the Mona Lisa no matter how much popcorn you sprinkle

though I have yet to capture my 60 year old E-ticket book shadow because the kitchen scene of Snow White is the BEST square footage in the entire park

The theming outside looked worse than a local sideshow.
When flying above London the magic is ruined by passing the other ships and seeing how they are held in the air.
Personally I found "when you wish upon a star " more emotive.
I stand by my opinion that PP is overrated and underwhelming but I love that you all love it so much.

I enjoyed reading your overall experiences. Sounds like you had a good time.
I still haven't tried Cove Bar. I'm glad you like it. Hopefully trying it in Dec when we visit DL. Its on my list "to do".

We really did have a magical time.
The CM's were fantastic, they went above and beyond as we watched them deal with many tiresome people.
There wasn't a shortage of CM's either.

The gardens, gosh they were beautiful. We were intrigued by their care, so we asked & found out the Gardeners work on them from 2am to opening.

Some will find this a negative but us dog lovers loved it. Each morning at 3am from our rooms over DTD we heard the dogs excitedly start to bark. It turns out it's the time they feed the DL security dogs.

Also we got to meet a bed bug seeking Beagle doing the rounds of the hotel

Thanks for your notes - I found them to be helpful and, well, direct (which is fine with me). I realize Dapper Days isn't as big a thing as Gay Days, but I guess I'll try to get through my must-dos before Friday night!
