Just Joined And Happy

I had been contemplating joining for some time and today I "pulled the trigger". We started out with 180 points. I am looking forward to several magical vacations.

By the way for those of you who are considering DVC and have not purchased yet I was informed of an additional incentive I was not aware of until I was going through the purchasing process.

Apparently, if you have a Disney Visa you can put your down payment on your Disney Visa and get 6 months of no interest financing. I thought was great. I could have paid cash for the down payment, but why give my money to Disney until I have to. I might as well hold onto my money and make interest. Not to mention a few extra Disney Reward Dollars!

It was nice meeting you and your family at the Rose & Crown a few weeks ago. We had a good meal allbeit inside. My DD5 was a little taken back by the loud noises of the fireworks so we walked back inside. She really enjoyed speaking with your family while we waited for our PS times.

Hey I didn't even realize my congrats was going to someone I know, sorry to say I didn't recall your Dis name, although I know you told me when we met. I can't believe you remembered my name, I am so impressed, LOL, thanks for reminding me that I know you and for saying hi! My daughter and her friend LOVED your adorable and oh so friendly little daughter, she was the sweetest thing! And talking to you and your wife made that long wait at the Rose and Crown bearable.

Funny that you got the illuminations view and then ended up going inside, the opposite happened to us--we didn't get it and went out to the patio to the area they set aside for diners to watch. I actually was pretty peeved, because there WERE patio seats when they seated us inside and when I questioned why WE couldn't have those seats (after requesting patio and waiting 40 minutes for our PS's) they claimed they "didn't have enough servers for that area". Well 2 seconds later other folks WERE seated at two tables outside, both with parties the same size as mine. Again I went up to ask why my family didn't get either of those tables, and why I was told there were "not enough servers". The excuses were lame, and I was pretty upset. I may be wrong, but I felt that because I was a woman without a man that I got the worst table there was, there was no other reason I could think. To top it off, we were really hungry after waiting so long for our table, but we had to hold off on dinner because there was no time to bring it before illuminations began and we would miss the show if we were eating. So we were hungry, angry and frustrated but we stayed because we had no other choice, we certainly didn't want to go elsewhere and wait more. We won't be going back there anytime soon! That was the only low point in the trip though, we had a fantastic time and I hope it was the same for your family.

Oh, I want to thank you profusely for that 3 person Fast Pass you gave us for Soarin, we put it to good use! Soarin wasn't open that night we met you, but we were able to use it the next day and the line was HUGE so that fast pass was terrific to have. Thanks again!

Congratulations!!! Thanks for the tip on the Disney Visa, we are seriously thinking about doing the 120 point SSR add-on. I wonder if they will give us interest free for the entire purchase price, not just the down payment?
