Just hit my 4th 7th month window!

I have owned SSR since 2010 bought on a resale just booked my 4th trip right on my 7th month window. May 2011 bwv, Oct 2012 BCV/AKL, May 2014 BCV, and Aug 2015 BLT. Has anyone else never been to their home resort?

We've had three DVC stays (June 2013, June 2014, November 2014) and haven't stayed at our home resort, SSR, yet. That will change in June though!

nopebut we bought our first DVC (BWV) sight unseen. Sometimes I'm tempted to book elsewhere when the 7 month window rolls around (still trying for GFV) but, more often than not, very happy to enjoy to the 'homes' we love.

I'm just curious, why did you buy into SSR, if you never want to stay there?

nope I owned at hhi for 3 years and never stayed there. sold it last year and bought back in at okw and bcv . now I am going to hhi for a short weekend trip on okw points ,crazy .

I've stayed at all DVCs at WDW but spend almost all my trips at my two home resorts, BWV and BLT. I really like them both and they suit my Food and Wine needs and first week of Dec. at BLT for MK visits.

We also own at SSR -- have only stayed there twice, which DH and I wanted since all we wanted to do on those trips were to hit up the bars at DTD. We have always stayed in other resorts in 2 bedrooms and studios to include our family. never had a problem at the 7 or 6 month window. we are looking forward to Aulani this July for 12 of us. and we leave this evening for a long weekend trip to Vero -- booked 3 weeks ago.

I'm just curious, why did you buy into SSR, if you never want to stay there?

my guess will be big savings and the ease of the 7 month window finding availability. ssr a lot cheaper and has a ending date of 2054. sometimes 7 moths will be hard at some places grand floridian polynesian standard rooms at boardwalk etc. but for the most part its easy to find availability.

I bought a resale for 58 a point in 2010 so mine was price driven. I am happy about using the 7th month window considering people buy direct for 160 a point now.

I bought at BLT in summer 2013 and have stayed at AKL (Sept 13), OKW (Jan 14), BLT (May 14), and will be at VWL and Vero beach this May.

I loved BLT but a having fun trying out other resorts. No trouble at all so far with the 7 month window.
