Just had my fourth jab

5th shot done about 6 weeks ago. No after effects at all other than a very slightly sore arm. Less than all the rest.
Our cards had a couple of spots on the back from more additions. That 5th one was entered there.

DD got her 4th one a few weeks ago. She was not feeling well for a few days.
They did not ask for her insurance.....but they did when she got her flu shot a few weeks before that

Dh and I have each had all 5 - no problems with any of them.
Somehow Publix has squeezed them all on one card for each of us.

I had my 4th shot 8 months ago
Did not realize I could get a 5th shot

Good thing I read this thread!
You can get the bivalent COIVD shot, regardless of age & previous vaccination status, as long as it has been at least 2 months since the last one.

I got my 4th 2 weeks before the bivalent was available. I plan to get mine at the beginning of December.

I scheduled my 4th right before a wedding and WDW trip. CVS cancelled it. I haven’t made another appointment. Fortunately still Covid free after both even without the 4th (got 3rd a year ago) but I need to get it and not push my luck this northeast winter.

I got my fifth last month. It is a little bit weird though. I got the Moderna bivalent. For my vaccination card I previously had one that used little stickers, and that took up more space than the standard area on the card. So when I got my fourth shot the nurse copied over everything else to another card so it fit in the four spaces on the front. And for the fifth the nurse went to the back of the card under the follow-up appointment area, but with the lot number.

And when I check with my Apple Health/Apple Wallet version of my vaccination record, it just says "229" for the latest. It's something called the CVX Code which is a vaccine number assigned by the CDC.

I found something weird also as you said. I had all of them including latest Moderna and when I went to my R.A. Doctor's Portal (always wants me to enter the vaccine info so I did). she wrote back and asked for the LOT #.
Never did that before. Makes me nervous as I'm 'forced' to get vaccines due to being autoimmune compromised but I hate it all. I especially distrust this last one that was not tested on humans, thus making her Lot # inquiry all the more interesting....

I would go elsewhere. For my Mom’s 3rd shot she was scheduled at CVS and when she arrived they told her she was not on the list. She does nothing with technology so gives my DH’s cell phone number out and when he went to pull up the confirmation saw a text from not that long before canceling her. No reason given. They were so awful said the system did it and refused to give it to her just told her to make a new appointment. She asked for a manager there or a phone number to call to get this resolved and was told the system handles everything there is no one to speak to. We found an 800 number for CVS and she was bounced around and spoke to various people including managers but no one would help her just said the system does everything there is nothing anyone can do. I have a friend whose flu shot was cancelled by CVS at another location but luckily she has a friend who is a pharmacist who was there that day and happened to be right there and heard the exchange and told her she would give it. Mom ended up getting her 3rd at the pharmacy at a grocery store and it was so wonderful I went there for my 3rd and 4th.

Got my 4th shot a couple days ago, the omnicron booster. The very first shot from the original moderna series didn't phase me at all. Barely even a sore arm. The second dose however hit me pretty hard. I was down and out for two days after, but rebounded very quickly. Got the booster 7-8 months after that, and had the same symptoms for a day and a half, but not quite as severe. Then, Covid finally bit me this summer. Holy smokes did it knock me on my butt like no other. I've never been so sick in my life.

Thankfully this latest booster (about 3 months after having covid) was relatively kind. Started getting fatigued and achey, then fever and chills. That lasted about 12 hours, and then I was good. Over the next 24 hours I would get random body aches, but they were mild and mostly went about my business.

I had trouble with CVS canceling mine as well. I ended up going to Costco for both my flu and COVID booster this time.

Right now, I'm more worried about catching the flu. It's tearing its way through my workplace. I know at least 4 people that have been out with the flu in the last two weeks.

Oh man... the flu is BRUTAL in our community right now. I'm with you... flu and strep are a much bigger threat than covid in our area at the moment. But, given that we had to cancel our last two vacations due to someone in our home getting covid right before we left, they're all equally scary to us right now with our Disney trip just around the corner. :teeth:

Yea, just looked. I made appt with CVS for both Covid and Flu shots on Sept 14. CVS reminded me on Sept 17 to prepare for Sept 19 appt. Then next day Sept 18 texted-
URGENT: We apologize but due to unforeseen circumstances your appt will need to rescheduled.

It’s on me to fix. Really shouldn’t have waited so long. Will go to my local town pharmacy tomorrow and they accept walk-ins :) No more dealing with CVS for me!

My county health dept's closest site to home is pretty good. More recently I haven't seen much of a line at all. Especially not compared to when I first got vaccinated and there were long lines even when using a large room (since moved to a different part of the building). Once we went in to get tested and after the negative tests we just went down a few feet and walked in for boosters without an appointment.

I rather like my county's sites. Every time we've gotten tested or vaccinated for COVID, it's always been a county health dept RN and not just a medical assistant. It was a little bit weird though with the last time I got the Moderna bivalent booster. I was specifically told that they don't request that anyone wait 15 minutes, although there was still a seating area for those who wanted to wait it out. I sat there for 5 minutes just in case.

Yes it is my Mom got the flu 2 days before she was scheduled for the shot at her doctor’s office. She was told to still get it once she feels better as she has one strain and the injection covers a number of them.

I had issues with CVS, too. This was right when the bivalent came out, I think they didn't get as many doses as they had expected and wound up having to cancel a bunch of appointments. I tried three different stores before I finally got an appointment that stuck.
I got the bivalent covid booster and a flu shot in September.

Same thing happened to our kids! All three of them came down with something the day of their flu shot, so we moved it out a week, then one of them gets a bad case of the flu that morning.

I got the Moderna bivalent one back in Oct before my Food & Wine trip. No issues except the normal sore arm for a few days,

I just got the 4th one yesterday. I went with the Moderna bivalent but I had Pfizer the other 3 and the pharmacy kept asking if I wanted the Moderna and I said yes since I have read it provides a bit better protection. My arm is sore but that is all. I really debated getting it at all since we all had Covid in August but in the end working in a school and my elderly father living with us I went with it. I got my flu shot a month ago as well. In my area RSV is out of hand. The health department yesterday announced that 2 adults over the age of 65 died from it in the past 3 weeks. We also have over 270 people hospitalized for RSV with 230 being under the age of 18, 84 are infants under the age of 1. This has put a terrible strain on the pediatric hospital.

Apparently the LOT # can be used to confirm vaccine records with the CDC. Your Rheum may be simply making sure your record has full complete info if ever needed, unless they've had an issue with patients submitting fake records.

I've been a pin cushion this year.
TDAP vaccine
FLU vaccine (the super strong version of the vaccine since I am now over 65)
Two Shingles shots
4th and 5th Covid shots

And I go to the Doctor Monday and I suspect I am due for a pneumonia shot.

7 vaccines in one year, ouch.
