Due to the recent weather situation in Florida, we are delighted to update and assure our guests that this weeks Disneys Pin Celebration, A Family Pin Gathering, hosted by Epcot® will proceed as originally planned this September 10-12, 2004.
We know that many guests have contacted us with questions about this weeks event, therefore we have prepared the following responses in hope they will address all of our guests concerns.
1. Due to the recent weather are there any changes to this weeks pin event?
No, we are proceeding as planned and look forward to our event guests arriving for the event this week.
2. What if I have certain issues that have arisen from the recent storm activity that would prevent me from attending this weeks event?
We understand that due to the recent storm activity, many of our guests are having to deal with unforeseen or unplanned situations. Therefore, we want to be sensitive to each and everyone of our guests individual needs. If you have a unique situation, we want to help. Please contact our Walt Disney Event Services Cast Members at 407-827-7600 and we will be happy to assist you.
3. I keep seeing damage from the storms on television. Has Walt Disney World sustained significant damage? Will everything still be open?
While we do have some cleanup efforts after the recent storms, all areas are currently open and ready for our guests.
4. I saw on the news that another storm is heading towards the United States, what about that storm?
Rest assured that our guests safety is our primary concern and we are monitoring all storm systems currently off our coastline. While no one can be certain what the weather will do, we will continue to aggressively monitor the situation and make proper decisions based on that information. At this time, the new storm is tracking a path that will not effect the Walt Disney World Resort.
