That's awesome, PoppyGirl! You must be very proud. I know getting into a veterinary program is no easy feat, so kudos to your step son for being a good enough student to get that far. Will he have a specialty (i.e. farm animals, zoo animals, or cats and dogs)?

I am SO proud of him! He has a mild form of autism has had some learning disabilities which he has overcome (in large part due to his mother) so we are super proud of his accomplishment. We get to go to his graduation in Madison Square Garden in June! He wants to be a cat vet. He's done everything during this year of rotations, but he LOVES cats and wants to specialize in them. I'm seriously dancing on the inside!
congradulations to your son!! tell him remember in the immortal words of Will Rogers, "A vet is by far the best kind of doctor because his patients can't tell him what's wrong. he has to know."

What a great quote! I'll have to tell him that one.
I'm making him a scrapbook of his years in Vet school for his graduation. I'm so happy that he passed his boards--the first time too! I can't take much of the credit for how great he has turned out, but he really is a pretty cool person!
