Hey-

After hearing of the price increase, I called my guide yesterday to get on the waitlist for 50 more BWV points. I am hoping this will come in this month as we have an Apr. UY and would love the extra 50 2006 points. He said that as long as they come in soon (not sure how long that is) we will still pay the $95 pp.

Send some pixie dust my way, please.:thumbsup2

Glad you talked DH into it. We put in for 30 at BCV on Saturday and were told that they will hold us at the $95 point. Not a big price dif for 30 points (save $180) but every little bit helps and I just could not mentally adjust to $101.

PS you sure they will give you 2006 points? We have Feb UY so I don't think we will get any more.

Our guide said that as long as it comes in during March, before our new UY starts in Apr. we will get the 2006. I don't think you would get them. You need a use year of Apr-Dec to get them since that would be the current use year.

We just waitlisted today for 150 BCV points and our guide also told us that we'd get the $95 per point even if it took a while for them to come in.

I'm so impatient! :hourglass :hourglass :hourglass

Please, please, tell me that I'll get 'em eventually--I've been waiting for several hours now :rotfl2:

I am guessing since BCV person wanting only 50 pts got filled w/same UY as mine and said it only took a few days. I was already on the waitlist waiting for 200. I changed it to 4 @ 50pts. We shall see . . .

Very good idea. Plus you can always sell them easier and quicker.

I was told a boatload came in on Saturday and were distributed, I was only asking for 30 (just enough for one more night during Spring break). The larger contracts, if you ever have to sell, seem to go slower, simply because people would rather buy 50 at $101 than 200 at $98 - its all cash flow.

Does the price increase include OKW? I can't imagine that jumping to $101 now if that is what BCV has gone to? We want to do an add-on but were waiting to pay cash, but this makes me think we should do it today?

Disney gives you current-UY points with your purchase. You are in your 2007 UY, the OP is still in her 2006 UY until Mar 31st. So your add-on will start with your Feb 07 UY, the OP's add-on will start with her Apr 06 UY provided the points come through in March.

I too am going to call my guide about a BCV add-on with an August UY. Sounds like the wait may not be as long as I thought...Can you explain getting 2006 points that a pp mentioned? That sounds like an "incentive" to me and I didn't think they would need to give those with sold-out resorts. Thanks! Ignore this-sorry-you answered my question in the last post. That'll teach me to read before I type!!

While I got filled for 3 @ 50pt = 150, so just waiting for another 50. :cool1:

That was exactly how I did it last year when I added on to the BWV. My guide said if I was willing to take smaller contracts they would come through quickly. (I have an April UY). I ended up with 3 contracts of 30, 50, & 50. The first one was immediate, the second was less than one month and the thrid was almost 3 months (seemed like forever).
