That was painless! I had been reading horror stories of being on hold for hours but I was through in less than a minute and only on the phone for 5 minutes total (I was adding dining to an existing ressie). Now I am officially excited!
this makes me think that Disney is really going to feel the pinch during value season. Last year there were hour waits at this time. There is also less posting...
On the positive side...maybe they will offer more incentives down the line...like gift cards
On the negative side maybe they will have less service...which could equal longer line
I got through after about 40 minutes. However now my CM is having system issues and I am back on hold for almost 10 minutes now. I love Disney but this music is a bit much first thing on a Monday morning
Maybe too many offers this year, so people are using their other codes. I know I am using my 40% off pin instead of free dining. Now to just get my TA to book
OMG!!!! I called at 7:40 central time and booked the free dining for the General Public in like 5mins!!!!
It was such an AWESOME experience! I was never even put on hold!!! The CM picked up the line before the "all of our customer representatives are currently busy. Please ....." and there Bonnie Jo was! She was so a happy and bubbly! It almost seemed like she was just as excited for me booking FD as I was!
So its DONE!!! Now all I have to do is book the airline tickets when they come available!!!
Anyway I just called too, dialed at 10:10 a.m. EST, put on hold for maybe two minutes, then got a CM. Had the FD applied to an existing reservation and was off the phone by 10:16 a.m.
The most painful part of this morning was getting the CM to split my ASMu reservation between the AAA rate (8/13-8/16) and making a new reservation for 8/16-8/20 with the FD. I was holding a DVC reservation until I made certain that I could apply the FD to the end of the cash stay...if I couldn't, I was going to move over to an OKW studio. He would not book the FD portion because of duplicate bookings and was not very nice about it at all to me, at which time I promptly requested Guest Services. Marsha in Guest Services had my reservation completely taken care of in under 10 minutes! After that, I was then able to call DVC MS at 9 am when they opened and cancel my 4 night studio stay at OKW.
My DD is celebrating her 10th birthday on August 15th and when given the choice, she wanted ASMu so I decided that as long as we staying there, we may as well take advantage of the FD promotion as she will then be considered a Disney adult
I was on hold this morning for about 10 minutes. Then I freaked out later when my conformation email was not there, so I called back and it went straight through with no wait. Everything was fine, she just said that they were busy and it could take up to 24 hours to post.
