Just got my package, what now?

So we talked to our guide on Sat. and gave 1/2 the deposit. The other half he said will be auto. deducted in 30 days I think. Today I got my HUGE package with a thousand papers, handbook, temp. cards, cute tote bag etc. So my question is, I know we have to sign the papers and do the notary thing for the one, send it back, but then what? When do they tell us if we get it or not? And if we don't get in, do I have to give back the member tote bag?LOL

We did everything at the resort so I can say is what we did when we got home. We too put 1/2 dep down and the rest came out in 30 days. We had to mail them our auto debit info and tax returns then it was about a week after that we got our letter to say congrats. Then you will go by the est. close date on your doc. We are now finished and just waiting on our perm. member cards. We have made to ressies one for April in Vero and one for July at our home resort of SSR. Congrats on your purchase.

Where do you find the estimated closing date on your papers? I am probably skipping right over it. We just received our signed papers back for our records and i was wondering when we would receive our permanent cards - we leave Dec. 21st for our first trip "home" at SSR. I just didn't know if we would have our cards by then. Thanks!

The est. close date should be in your purchase agreement on the first page. It has Your use year, est close date, date of agreement. At the bottom of mine it says page 1 of 9. We got temporary cards the day we left our deposit. Like I said we got ours at the resort. We stopped in while on vacation. They are good for 3 or 4 months until we get our perm ones.

I understand the confusion. I was so glad we did the paper work at the open house. It really made things easier. I received a folder with the info I had to come home and mail them. Other than that I was done at the resort. I would think if they were just verifying that you received your info you could do it without the DH. As long as you know his info.

Thanks! I found the est. closing date. I guess we will be using our temporary cards for this trip. When I called the Quality # it was a very short call. They just wanted to make sure we didn't have any questions about the packet.

Our est. closing date is 2 days before my 30th birthday(I'll be 30 on the 30th of December). Happy Birthday to me!!!!!

I would say that is about the best birthday present anyone could ask for. Our close date was 17th of Oct. and my DH birthday was the 13. So he too got it for his birthday. Congrats again.

You could close faster. However once you send it back they usually process your financing within the next 48 hours. Give your guide a call and let them know you would like to find out if you were approved, need more down payment or whatnot. They will be happy to tell you.

Thanks all for the help & Congrats. I'm just worried about getting the approval. I don't know why, I guess I'm just weird. We just got back from a trip a couple of weeks ago, and weren't planning on going back until October 2006, but if all goes well with this we might have to go sooner. I've only SSR from the outside(the boat from Port orleans to Downtown Disney to be exact) so I'm dying to see what it looks like.

Congratulations. I went over and looked at SSR on our last trip (September) and I honestly thought SSR looked better than BWV this trip. BWV looked a little tired (dirty carpets, food trays in the halls, and messy construction projects). And I'm a BWV owner!

With your age, SSR will be extra nice with the added years.

You sound just like me I had all the same questions when we did it by mail, and I'm now very glad to know we were not the only ones.

We only drove by SSR and saw it while passing in the boat to OKW. I didn't like it the 1st time I saw it, but then (even before I knew I would be buying there) it really grew on me.

I kept telling my DH, I really like the colors, I really like the location, etc. Good thing since I own there
