Just got here today!

Thanks for the kinds words and for reading my posts! We had a great day today. We got a ton of rides in today as well as the parade. We camped out on a Main Street curb an hour before parade time and had a great spot! The Christmas parade was very festive and bright!

Highlights of the day were: the parade, my DD getting picked as the Rebel Spy on Star Tours, getting stuck on Indy and getting to stay on for another ride and my DD overcoming her fear of Space Mountain and of course..... Steakhouse 55!

We left the park after the parade and headed to Steakhouse 55 for a relaxing meal. The ambiance is very old Hollywood with pictures of Walt and other celebrities on the walls. Our drink order was taken and them loaf of hot and crusty sourdough bread with butter was brought to the table. It was great. DH and I started with splitting the Steakhouse 55 salad which has lettuce, frisée, tomato, cucumber, cheddar, bacon, croutons and some delicious dressing. I had the rib eye while my DH had the prime rib. We split the potatoes au gratin and my DD got the 4 cheese Mac n cheese with bacon. We also shared our entrees with her and still had steak left over! We split their famous 24 layer chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious with the prime rib being the favorite. The potatoes and Mac n cheese was great as well! The dessert was huge and yummy and we couldn't eat it all! The service was fantastic and our server Martin was fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy a good meal and are looking for a quiet , relaxing and delicious meal. It was a perfect end to a magical first day!

Thanks and have a great night everyone!

24 layer cake sounds so yummy! I loved reading where you are I can almost imagine I'm there with you LOL

Good morning everyone! We went to the DL early entry this morning and promptly had tea and breakfast at Jolly Holliday Bakery. DH and I had the bacon and egg croissant and DD had the cinnamon roll. Pretty expensive breakfast but got 10% off with my AP! It was just okay, not great.

Then we rode Astro Orbiter, Star Tours, Jingle Cruise and Indiana Jones. We got wristbands for candy canes ti pick up after 11!

The park is not as busy today as yesterday and the weather is a bit cooler.

I heard from another guest that RSR is down for a while if not all day! The app just says "temporarily unavailable."

Thanks for reading and will post more later!

How early did you start lining up for the candy canes? I want to get one but also wanted to get a pass for the WOC AP show on the same day so I just wanted to see what one I should get first, thanks!

We just happened to pass by the candy cane line at the right time, probably around 8:40 after we ate breakfast. They had already given out wristbands for the first batch and we got them for the 2nd batch to be picked up after 11:30. FYI: they are $12.99. We got our AP WOC fast passes yesterday at approximately 9:00 or so and they still had a ton of ornaments... Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the info alaskanmommy :)

We saw Jack Skellington out today and rode Pirates, HM, got a FP for Space mountain and went to Innoventions and checked out the Jingle Jangle Jamboree. DD got a pic with reindeer Pluto and Santa Goofy was also out and Christmas Minnie. We headed to Hungry Bear for lunch. Lunch was pretty spendy for burgers and fries, even being at Disney!

They have them in DCA too! Yesterday, myself and my friend got our wristbands as DH, ds, and friend's DH got in line for WOC AP with our cards. We got inside DCA a few mins after opening and had no issues with either. There was no line for the candy canes-in fact they were calling out to people to get a wrist band. The WOC line was very short. We caught up with them just after the pulled the passes, just before getting the ornaments. Our return time for the candy canes was 2:30pm.

Just got back to our hotel room. We ended up riding Space Mountain again and Astro Blasters. We then decided to go pick up our candy canes. They had them all wrapped up in bubble wrap for us! I thought that was a nice touch.

DD11 had been wanting to ride Grizzly River Run so we acquiesced and decided to get wet! Our previous record for riding consecutively was 7 so we decided to beat our record! Yep, you heard me we rode that sucker 8 times in a row! We met a nice mother and son who rode with us a few times and we had a ball! It's so fun watching completely dry, unsuspecting people walk up to that ride! After a few rides we were COMPLETELY soaked! I saw several people take one look at us and change their minds about riding! Finally after the 8th time we went and retrieved our dry stuff from our locker and drippingly shlogged our way back to the DLH. We definitely got some pretty hilarious looks on our way back to the hotel. :)

Now we are bathing and changing clothes and doing laundry. We have WOC reservations for Ariel's Grotto tonight and hopefully we will fit in some more rides.....

I'm in Alaska where it is 3 degrees!!!

Do you get to DL enough to make that AP worth it?

Glad you are having fun!

It's snowing back home and I'm loving the California weather! We are planning on going this spring and then WDW next fall so I will probably upgrade to a premier. Plus, he discounts are nice! We are having a blast! Thanks! :)

I guess we should have gone to California today, While Disneyland wasn't crazy most of the day by evening it was quite busy and we could find no where to sit for parade so we left :-( Luckily we here till next Tuesday so we will just have to camp early for spot, also winds were picking up so I doubted they would do the fireworks.

Yeah, we left DL around 3ish. It was getting increasingly busier during the day. The morning was pretty slow though, I though. We saw the parade yesterday and camped out about an hour before showtime.

Have a great trip!
