We are back at DLH after an amazing evening. Last time I wrote we were soaking wet....
After bathing and laundry I realized that our reservations were at 6:00, not 6:30 like I thought so we hustled and had 14 minutes to make it to Ariel's Grotto! We walked super fast and made it the at 6:00 on the dot, wet hair and all!
We were given a buzzer and went outside to check out the Paradise Pier area and our buzzer promptly went off. We were sent downstairs and seated outside. It was fairly busy but we had a good waiter. They gave us the WOC menu. I got the salad starter and substituted blue cheese dressing on the side and DH and DD ordered the clam chowder. when our starters were served they accidentally brought DH a salad and then a soup so he got both. I really enjoyed my salad but my hubby said his lettuce was slimy. We attributed the difference due my dressing request. The clam chowder was tasty.
My DD11 got the shrimp and angel hair dish and DH and I both got the lobster and tri-tip dish. DD didn't like her dish so DD switched with her. My meal was surprisingly good and DH thought the shrimp dish was pretty good, except he hates being served shrimp with the tails on! I agree.
Then The AP WOC show was about to begin so they dimmed the lights and piped in the music. I had no idea that we'd get to do this so I was thrilled!
Our waiter delivered not one but TWO dessert trays for us to share and eat while we were watching the show. I was in heaven. The dessert trays included some rice crispy treats, strawberries, mini cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, mini Oreos and a small popcorn cake and a tub of chocolate dipping sauce. It was tasty.
The show was great and we loved Frozen so it was fantastic: the lights, the water and the music. From that area you have a side view of the show but we didn't care because we would be going to the later show.
The whole experience was very magical and the reason We keep coming back!
A 15% gratuity is included in your check but we added a little extra because our waiter was awesome! We left Ariel's Grotto and headed to Silly Symphony Swings as DD and DH wanted to ride.
They rode a few times and we headed to out preferred WOC section. We were at the very front behind a single row of people so we were close and yes we did get a little wet!! The show started and it was awesome! I love Olaf from Frozen and the music is broadway caliber with Idina Menzel singing "Let it go" and also Heather Headley sings a beautiful arrangement. I thought they did an amazing job and I had read some very negative reviews is the show. I would highly recommend watching Frozen before seeing this show but we all thougt it was awesome!
Have a great evening and thanks for reading!
