Hi, we just got back yesterday. We were there from 9/28 to 10/3 and stayed at the GF. The weather was beautiful, only humid a couple of days. The longest we ever waited in line was 15 min. We did not even use FP because there was never a long line. I did not see any love bugs, except for at Blizzard Beach and then it was only a few, not bad at all. We went to the Halloween party on the 1st and it wasn't crowded but it also wasn't empty. I have been to the Christmas party and it has been worse. I did see a lot of people trying to get in to resturants as walk-ups and get turned away, but then while I was in the resturant they would only be half full? Tables would be empty next to us the whole time we were there. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

We just got back on 9/28 & I'm ready to go back....right now! ::yes::

Thanks for the update FISHY. Sounds like a great trip. Very interesting on the restaurants. Sounds like people should try a walk up if they were not able to get a ressie. Also sounds like a lot of people are making multiple ressies, then deciding where to go. I'm interested in which restaurants had open seats.

Did we go to the same place? You were in Disney WORLD, right? :lmao: We found the heat and humidity to be unbearable (except for 9/30 and 10/1) and the crowds RIDICULOUS (but you're right about ride waits...the parks themselves, though, were FULL of people).

I'm so glad you had a great experience and didn't experience WDW burnout like we did.

I'm always ready to go back. I never want to leave. The construction at the GF is mostly in the lobby, they are doing tile work still. What they have down is beautiful, but it isn't hard to get around, they leave you a walkway to get through. They were also painting some of the Sugar Loaf building. That was all that I saw. The resturants that were turning people away and were only half full was Tutto Italia, and Grand Floridian Cafe. I did see someone get a walk up at CRT at 9 am one morning. It wasn't humid on the 30th or the 1st. The other days it was humid but I guess I am just used to it, it didn't bother us very much. I was expecting much worse.

I agree with the above poster. It was do darn hot & humid most of the week. Crowds were huge.
I also think WDW is losing some of its charm. Many cast members were down right nasty, not knowledgeable at all, and just plain lazy.
My mom fell while getting off the boat ride in Mexico and not one cast member came over to us to see if she was OK. Now, she had a total knee replacement last year. I had the most horrible week I have ever had in my entire life. I will be writing WDW and telling them of all the horrible stuff that took place.
