Just got back... WOW

BTW, what is sun poisoning? We're from Arizona and have never heard of sun poisoning! Is it what we call heat exhaustion?
:sunny:

My skin turns red like a sunburn but it also gets very bumpy. (unlike prickly heat which is just a rash)

As if that wasn't bad enough, I then start to feel really crummy. It goes away eventually if I stay out of the sun for several days.

Glad you had a great time...love to hear that from people on their 1st time! Now you're going to be addicted like all of us!

How much was the stroller deal? We're taking our grandson in Nov and it would be a help if we didn't need to lug that around.

A double stroller usually rents for $14/day (plus a $1 deposit you get back at the end of the day). I budgeted $60 for the 4 days. I just checked the receipt and the daily rental was $11.83 (not including the deposit). The multi day deal only cost $47.32 for the 4 days.

I think the single strollers are $8/day (including deposit).

Although I paid for the double for the 4 days, I only used a single when we went back in the evening and had no problems with the change.

Did you drink a lot of water? I am from Miami and right NOW it is 84 degrees! I wear a strappy cami top, shorts and drink lots of water.:p

Thanks for the report!

I'm also very heat/humidity intolerant, despite growing up in Miami and living in Florida for almost 45 years! Using a fan, drinking water, etc. don't make a bit of difference. I actually collapsed the last time we were at Epcot and DH had to go get me a wheelchair and bring me to the First Aid station, where I layed down for an hour! I think it's just an individual thing--heat doesn't bother my DH at all!

Yikes! That sounds miserable.
Thanks for the explanation!

Hi there!!

WDW is awesome, isn't it?

So, what did your DD think of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid? My DD is 5, and she LOVES Ariel. I have never seen this show.

So, it's definitely AK versus MGM for you?

So glad you had a wonderful time, despite the heat. The heat tends to get to us, but that is when we take the opportunity and duck into an air conditioned attraction or shop - gives us a chance to cool down a bit and regain our senses!!

DH is terrified about getting sunburned after he was severely burned a few years ago - now he plasters sunblock on. So, anyone going in October, you will be able to notice DH - it'll look like it is snowing on his shoulders and neck!!! :hyper:
