We didnt eat out a bunch, but I have my reviews below. We stay in a two bedroom at SSR and eat alot in our room to help save some $$$. We used the Tables in Wonderland discount card.
For the past few trips, we have always started it off with a trip to Earl of Sandwich in downtown Disney. The meatball (Cannonball) and the Caprese (Mozz and Tomato) sandwiches are the favs for us. 2 thumbs up!!
Our first meal was at Sci Fi Drive in. I know many have mixed reviews about this place, but we just love it. I also know that some people love burgers from other places, but to me, the burger from Sci Fi is clearly the best. Pecos Bills is okay, but is a typical processed type meat where the Sci Fi burger is fresh meat. The shakes are also very good and we love the onion rings.
We then took an excersion off site to Sonnys BBQ. I first had Sonnys in St. Augustine and will visit it each time I am near one... the all your can eat sliced pork is VERY good.
Our next Disney meal was at Ohana. Again, many people have mixed reviews, but this is a must for our family each trip. We had a fabulous seat in the rear of the restaurant and a perfect view of the Wishes fireworks display. Normally kids dont eat enough to feed a bird, but our kids just love this meal and the servers couldnt bring the meat fast enough. My DD 9, got the name 'steak lady' and my DS 12 was the 'eating machine.' The Lapu Lapu was a wickedly good drink. First time for that one, but not the last!!
We then ate at T-Rex with a group of 13. Our waiter did an excellent job with our group (6 kids) and the food was better than I anticipated. DS 17 got the meat platter (ribs and chicken) which was a TON of food. We had an assortment of food and everything was good. Pasta, burgers, chicken... all good. I would dine there again. Prices were a bit high, but it is Disney.
Our last Disney meal outside of the typical counter services was at House of Blues... pretty decent meal with a combo of Ribs, steak and shrimp.
