Hi!! We just returned from a 10 day stay!
Resorts: we did 3 nights at Riverside and 6 nights at Poly. This was our 12th stay at POR and we really do enjoy the grounds. We were in bldg 26 (I requested this) the room was ok, I find the rooms at POR to never be spotless. It was a decent location without paying for preferred. We enjoyed the pool and tether ball!! The busses here are hit or miss, we waited 38 min for a bus from Disney Springs and over 20 min for one to AK. The food court was clean and we ate one meal there (it was good). We switched over to the Poly (super easy) for 6 nights for our first stay ever!!! Wow, we absolutely loved it!! We had a third floor room in Rarotonga (I requested third floor, quiet location). I can't say enough about our experience!! Perfect location for our room, lovely grounds, captain cooks was very good too. We enjoyed the tiki torch lighting ceremony and watching the EWP and wishes from the beach. Transportation via the monorail and boats was quick and efficient. We really enjoyed the oasis pool too. The CMs were super friendly and helpful!

Parks: we chose to only do 4 parks this visit and relax and enjoy the resorts more. We usually are on the go the whole time but I think this will be our new way of doing Disney as we all agreed we enjoyed ourselves much more! The crowds were average compared to our previous Aug trips and the heat was much more tolerable than last year.

I'm jealous! I've stayed at POR and enjoyed it very much, but Polynesian is one of my favorite resorts that I've never stayed at.

We LOVE POR, but, DVC makes staying at the Poly cheaper.

We have 2 weeks there in 28 day, but, we'll visit POR at some point.

So glad you had a lovely trip and enjoyed The Poly. It is our favorite as well. It's so important to remember to relax and enjoy the resort as well. Thanks for the reminder. Our countdown is down to 14 days until we check in at The Poly.

Great to hear that you had such a fun trip! What did you do on your days off? How many days off did you do?

This August was a first for us too: Naps in the afternoon. All of our previous trips were in September when the parks close earlier. In the past, afternoon naps weren't feasible since you would get back to the parks with too little time left in the evening. We really enjoyed the naps in the afternoon this year, which got us out of the heat and any rain and ready for later evenings.

We were in Building 38 this year and LOVED our location at POR.

We went to the parks four days. We visited Disney springs and used the pools.. Our evenings we enjoyed the beach at Poly and watching Wishes!! It was fun to resort hop too. It's amazing how much you can find to do!
