Just got back from our POFQ stay!

Since you love POFQ, it's probably going to be hard to stay at the Poly after they give you the price for that resort. We have never stayed at the poly but I really want to try it but just have a hard time paying the outrageous price they ask to stay there. We stayed at the GF with a 40% discount and really liked it but there is no way I can stay at a deluxe without a decent discount. Have fun next year.

We stayed at the Poly last Aug., so believe me, I'm well aware of those outrageous prices! We can do it, just not sure we want to justify it - especially now that we know we also love POFQ! And also especially since its looking more and more like the Poly will be undergoing some renovations. We'll see!

I go to WDW 4-6 times a year and usually stay in a moderate so have stayed at all four more than once. I'd rank them: #1. and #2. POFQ and CSR, #3. PORS, and #4. CBR. I have a hard time choosing between POFQ and CSR because both have so many things I love.

POFQ-smallest resort on property so no building is very far from anything, love the boat to DTD, love the general relaxed southern feeling of the resort, love that there is only one bus stop and it is the first before the bus goes over to PORS, and love Elliott Dyson's show in the lounge.


CSR- consistently has the best bus service, most comfortable beds, longer pool slide, biggest hot tub on property, centrally located, and love their food court.

I always have a hard time deciding between the two resorts. In fact I was just at CSR this past Nov/Dec, then at POFQ in May, had POFQ booked again for our Sept trip (but switched to AKL when the AP discounts came out) and will be back at POFQ in Oct/Nov.

The shampoo/conditioner was the blue Disney bottle and was combined in one, not separate. My dh and ds use it, but I bring separate shampoo and conditioner for dd and me.

Thank you! That clears that up.. my hair is too difficult and thick for combined, there is never enough conditioner! Thanks again!

Is building 4 close to the bus stop?

Building 4 is the closest building to the bus stop. It is the building we request each time we stay at POFQ because of its close proximity to both the main building and the bus stop.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much. We'll be there in 7 days for a 1 night stay before our cruise. Now I'm wishing we were staying there longer before our cruise. Oh well, there's always a next time isn't there?

We stayed there in May 2011 and are going back in Feb. 2013. We loved the stillness of the resort, especially after a crazy day in the parks. We stayed in Bldg 4 and it was very close to the bus stop and the food court. It's such a small resort that nothing is really far away. The Scat Cat lounge has a performer named Elliot Dyson that was wonderful. He played several instruments and was so entertaining! We sat in the food court and had beignets while listening to him (the lounge is right next door and open). My son loves jazz and he really enjoyed it. Great resort!

Love POFQ, stayed there once many years ago and revisited it when we were at POR in January. Love the theme, how small it is, and it's a nice river walk to POR.

I absolutely loved POFQ! I have been to 2 Mods and 2 Value and it's my fav resort. I would love to go back there but I have set a goal to stay at all the resorts. This year we are going to AKL, our first deluxe. Next time maybe we will have to do a split stay and stay at POFQ again.

For me it wouldn't even be close. I'd go with POFQ by a landslide. I've stayed at Pop several times, CBR twice, and POFQ multiple times. Pop is too busy and loud, plus their bus stop is usually the last one coming out of the parks. CBR is just too big, plus both times I stayed there the bus service was lousy and the main pool was so packed we couldn't even get in it, as were the hot tubs. We were also not fond of the food court or TS restaurant and in fact got very ill the night we ate at Shutters. On the other hand we love how small POFQ is--no room is very far from anything. They also have queen size beds, compared to the full size beds that both Pop and CBR have (CBR is the only moderate to still have full size beds). We love Elliot Dyson's show in the lounge at POFQ and also like to walk over to PORS to listen to Ye Haw Bob's show. We like that since they are sister resorts you can use the pools at either POFQ or PORS. We also love the boat to DTD at POFQ. Bus service has always been much better at POFQ than at either Pop or CBR. The buses may stop at PORS, but since POFQ is the first stop, you usually get a seat every morning.

Can you tell me what toiletries were in the room if you remember? I am trying to figure out if I am bringing my own shampoo/conditioner. I will be if its together in one bottle.

I came back less than two weeks ago and there were separate bottles of shampoo and conditioner, they were not in the same bottle. The only other toiletry was a bar of soap.
