So, my husband and I are on the first night of our honeymoon, and we wanted to try 'ohana...Since it seems so hit or miss, I was nervous. But, we LOVED it.

Was it crowded? YES
Was it noisy? YES (But we really enjoyed watching the kids have such a blast)
We alsp had a pretty attentive waiter....he knew to give us some space when we needed it, but he always came back to check on ous and bring more food when needed. Boy, was that food good.

My favorite was the pork! All of our meat was hot. I am glad we had such a positive experience, and we plan to return...Oh, and those Lapu Lapu's have me feeling "loopy loopy" :rotfl:

We'll be dining there 1 week from tonight. Hope it warms up!

So glad you enjoyed your dinner! Going in March for an anniversary. I hope we get the same food and service that you did!!!

Thank you for a good review!!! We plan to go in May and I keep reading bad reviews. I was getting nervous.

We are planning to go for our anniversary too. The reports are worrying me as well. I think we've decided to give it a go - sounds as if it may take some luck to get both good food and good wait staff.

Don't let the naysayers get to you. My approach is always to try it for yourself if you are so inclined. Too many people on the DIS seem to take pleasure in giving their negative opinions when they have a strong opinion while many others that have positive thoughts remain silent knowing that they don't need to defend their preference.

Congratulations on the wedding!! We also like Ohana and we will be back in May!!:cool1: If you get the chance, also try Kona Cafe there at the Poly. It's our favorite place at Disney!!:thumbsup2

Have a happy honeymoon!!:wizard:

Glad you loved it as much as we did!:goodvibes I was ecstatic that we got an ADR for our upcoming January trip.:woohoo:

BTW, congratulations!:thumbsup2

While I had a sleepy cranky four year old on my lap while I was eating at O'Hana two years ago, we loved it! So it's a must do for us for our bi-annual trips to Disney!

So glad to hear some positive feedback bc I really liked Ohana when we were there 1.5 yrs ago and wanted to go back again in AUG and was started to get worried about all the neg comments:banana:
Thanks

Loved dinner at Ohanas! I can hardly wait to experience it this time around *without* the kids. :goodvibes

Yay! So glad you had a great experience. I think that with Disney dining, you need to give restaurants that you're really interested in a shot regardless of the reviews. There are some restaurants that I love that other people HATE and vice versa. You never know until you try. I also think that you should give a restaurant at least 2 chances before you say "never again".

That being said, we hated Ohana the first time we went, skipped it last time and are planning on giving it it's second chance in June. I'm hoping it doesn't get a "never again" rating this time. :)

Our dinner on 11/14 was a mixed bag.We had to wait what seemed like an eternity for our table(had ressies),then once seated, had to wait another eternity for our server, and once that wait was over we had to wait...and wait....and wait...get the picture? All that being said, the food was very good!!! Let me expound-our ressie was for 5:35;We saw Wishes from our table-it was at 8pm.The service was INCREDIBLY SLOW!!! Wishes kept me from complaining!:goodvibes I did, however, cancel our 2nd ressie for later that week-just could'nt bring myself to try THAT again!!!!

We had dinner at Ohana on 11/23. We were seated right at our ADR time of 8:20. The food was great, but our server (Brandon) was slow as molasses! He was friendly and helpful, but we really had to ask him to hustle it up at about 9:30--we let him know that we wanted to get down to the Poly beach to watch Wishes. We had finished our bread pudding dessert before 9:30 and sat there looking at our empty plates for 20 minutes before he appeared again. :confused3

The kids and I made it down to the beach in time--my husband waited to finalize the check and was about 5 minutes late for the start.
