Ok, so here is my 1st review, I just got back from a week at BWV with DBF on his 1st trip to WDW, and I am so bummed to be home. Ill first start off by saying the dining plan is def worth its weight, I still dont know how they make money off it!

1st day we arrived and had lunch at Tangerine Cafe I had the chicken wrap with lentil side (cold) and a side of couscous, its was kind if like chicken salad it was good, and the sides were delish and I dont like lentils but my plate was cleaned! DBF had the lamb sandwich which he said was fake lamb, but good nonetheless. Dessert was i know Im gonna kill the spelling, backlavah, OMG so good! I was surprised I enjoyed this place, we used 2 CS

Dinner was at Spoodles, it was FAB! I had one of the flatbeds, it had olive tapanade, red and yellow tomatoes and mozz it was just ok, DBF had the greek salad which he enjoyed, he had a strip steak which he was delighted with and I had the Portuguese (sorry Im tired and cant spell) seafood stew, OMG so good, it was the perfect blend of flavors not overpowering, not soupy, just perfect. Dessert was vanilla creme brulee, which was ok, it wasnt too fresh but hey I love creme brulee, and DBF had make ure own sundae which came on an artist pallett which was cute. Oh BTW try the Sangria its great! I would recommend this place!

2nd Day was lunch at Cantina San Angel, I know many people on this board dont like the place but for a CS it was pretty good, we both got the combo platter which had a cheese quesedilla which was unlike any I have ever had it was more like fried dough with cheese, not bad, a chicken burrito and beef taco with a side of salsa and black beans with a churro for dessert which was a little stale. It was on the line of a taco bell but we enjoyed it.

Dinner was Coral Reef, I started with a Key Lime martini which was like a dessert but soooo good, the glass was rimmed with crust! We both had the lobster soup which was so thick you could almost cut it with a fork, it was very good, and I noticed Disney food needs NO salt or pepper which is odd for me cuz I add salt to everything. I had the pan seared crabcake which as my waiter said 3 times was real crab meat not imitation, it was very good but i couldnt finish, I wanted to save room for the choc wave, it definately lived up to the hype, I mostly ate the ice cream and sauce in the middle. DBF had the chicken dish and the orange dessert, he said it was good, I tried the dessert and wasnt crazy about it but he liked it, the only thing was he thought the dish was chicken off the bone and it ws chicken on the bone but he enjoyed it fine.

Well I have a weeks more worth of reviews but I need some sleep now...

Perfect timing with the Tangierine Cafe review! :goodvibes I just posted a thread asking for reviews!

Can't wait to read your next reviews!

Well the 1st time we ate there was good, the second wasnt so good dont order the chicken platter, more on that in the review to come...

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

Regarding the fake lamb, its really not fake but if it was anything like the chicken its heavily processed.

Ok so onto some more reviews... One thing I noticed about Disney Dining is the speed at which your food comes out, now while every waiter we had was super attentive and all I felt a little rushed and probably the reason I rolled out of every meal because they dont give time in between courses to digest, but hey, when your hungry its speed is not a bad thing...

OK Day 3 we did MGM and ate at the backlot, I had a grilled turkey sandwich it was actually really good, the sandwich was huge, toasted and it had argugula and roasted peppers and some kind of cheese very good and not too heavy for a CS, and a side of fries, and a parfait for dessert which was no sugar added, god knows how much sugar was there to begin with! It had blueberries on top, a custard in the middle, and a strawberry pie like filling in the middle, cant go wrong! DBF had a burger and fries which was good according to him.

Dinner was at Le Cellier, now before anybody throws the wooden spoon at me know that I dont eat steak and the only reason I booked it was for DBF. We were seated and our server explained on detail facts about canada, I wasnt paying attention, I was salivating for this famous cheeses soup, our server brought out the bread and explained what each of them symbolized lovepretzel, had her bring out some more, and then the soup came out, it was soooo good, but extremely heavy which came in handy later cuz I wasnt crazy about my entree I also had the mango smoothie which was so good I got brain freeze I drank it so fast, DBF LOVED his he had one of the filets and was VERY happy with it, I had the chicken dish, which again came on the bone (dont like chicken on the bone) now before I bash the dish, I just wasnt into it, the dish wasnt bad at all, chicken was really juicy and cream cheese mashed were good, I just couldnt get into it the skin was still on and all, so i waited for dessert. DBF bravely tried the strawberry dessert with balsamic ice cream (we didint know what that was) and I got the choc "mouse" well I like choc but wow this was intense on choc flave so all I needed was like 2 or 3 bite, DBF's dessert was so good I was totally jealous cuz he got his and ate most of mine... Now my review of this and DBF's will be different, I wasnt crazy about the place, but if I ate steak I would have loved it.

Day 4 was Animal Kingdom Day, we had lunch at the Flame Tree, it was really good, we both had the turkey sandwich on a huge whole wheat roll with fries and key lime pie and a side of seasoned onion rings, it was sooo good, portions were huge if I knew what I was in for at dinner I would have only eaten a half of my sandwich though.

Dinner was at BOMA, I was a littler nervous about going there but it wound up being on of my faves, now I couldnt telll you what I ate, just that I tried a little of everything except for the meat carving stations, which DBF had, his prime rib looked like the best prime rib I have ever seen, huge and nice and pink, he loved it too which surprised me. Like I said I tried a little of everything, some of my faves were the coconut curry seafood soup, the couscous, there was some kind of fruit slad that blew my mind. I was proud of myself, I tried everything, some I liked, and went up for seconds, some I didnt, potatoes with afrituded wernet my thing, neither were the famous zebra domes, but Im not into those flavors, I had the apple crumble which I poured the vanilla sauce over YUM! Boma is a must try for those of you who are apprehensive, I am so glad I did try it we walked out full and happy...too bad african food is like chinese food though we had an early ressie and were hungry later on so we did some haunts on the boardwalk after sundaes at Ghiradelli, I had brownie and DBF had berry with cheese cake on the bottom SOOOOO good

Day 5 Magic Kingdom lunch at Peco Bills, DBF got a double cheeseburger, and I got the chicken wrap with a side of fries and for dessert peanut butter mousse brownie, not this fixins bar was awesome, the mushrooms, onions, PICKLES! and everything else was fab, my wrap was enourmous! it was some kind of ranch dressing and after I stuffed the fixins in, watch out I was hooked. The dessert was really good but after 2 bites DBF looked at the calories and noticed each dessert was lableled as 2 servings so te little package was like 900 calories, so we both put that away thankfully it was really rich we didnt need too many bites, LOVED PECO BILLS!

Oh BTW it was this day that will go on the books, it was the day we discovered Dole Whips, on Day 4 we had one for breakfast and 1 before we left the park, and I think we came back to the park the next day just for those little pieces of heaven! Coming next dinner at cal grille, kona, and a few more others...

Thanks for the reviews. We eat at Spoodles on a lot of trips and always enjoy our meals. Looking forward to the rest of your reviews. :)

I've enjoyed reading them, thank you for posting them. :goodvibes

Day 5 Dinner, we had 8 pm reservations for California Grille, I was really excited to eat here not only because I heard great things but I was jonsing for some good sushi! Let me 1st say that 8pm was the perfect time for wishes, we had a great seat but went out to the balconey for what was the greatest display of fireworks I have ever seen, well we started with cocktails, I got the big bang roll for appetizer it was ok a little on the sweet side with the dipping sauce, but good nonetheless, we shared the quadruple cheese flatbread which was amazing, and dbf has the asparagus soup which was so good, many of the dishes had asparagus its in season, the soup looked like a puree, it wasnt overpowering at all, simply delish. Right after the fireworks entrees came out, dbf had the filet which was one of the best hes had, I had a dish with scallops, fennel, warm escarole, bacon, gnocci it was light and simply scrumptous, the scallops were cooked to perfection and I was in heaven with this dish. For desert we both had the heirloom apple tart with caramel sauce with apple brandy ice cream, the ice cream was heavenly and the tart was warmed to perfection. I would recommend this place dbf joked that because of the 2 ts credits one was for the food, the other was for the fireworks, 8Pm was the perfect time, the whole atmosphere was very relaxing and was a nice place for a couple to enjoy a romantic dinner.

Day 6 We went to DTD and had lunch at Earl of Sandwich, OMG I got the Florentine sandwich which was chicken, creamed spinach, mushrooms and parm cheese, it was the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life, DBF thought I was joking till he tasted it, he got the american I think it had turkey, cheese, cranberry sauce, I cant remember what else, it was really good, but the flavor of mine overshadowed this, dessert was big choc chip cookies.

Dinner was a toss up between Ohana and Kona, we chose kona, we split the crab cakes and the pot stickers, crab cakes were good with I think pineapple salsa the sweetness worked well with the cakes, pot stickers were good as well, but werent as warm as they should be. I had the lapis lapu ? It was a strong drink in a pineapple, and it was ok I think I got it cuz it was in the pineapple, DBF got some kind of steak (starting to see a patern?) which was good with mashed potatoes, I had the shrimp and scallop dish, scallops had a wasabi sauce drizzled on them not too spicy just a little bite, a spicy passion fruit sauce and ponzu which cut the spiness of the passion fruit and wasabi, the shrimp were breaded with planki and in the middle was delish sticky rice, meal was first class. For dessert DBF had kiddie cone he loved it was amused how it stood up on the plate, I loved the cotton candy I was craving it since the park, mine was a warm lava brownie cake, soooo good, I was sad we didnt do Ohana, but Kina was soooo worth it.

Day 7 We went to the Magic Kingdom we went to main street bakery and had cookie ice cream sandwiches, mine was sugar cookie, dbf was choc chip cookies with vanilla ice cream, they were huge and soooo good, for dinner we used a cs and again ate at tangerine cafe after splitting a brat in germany after we left MK, I had a bite of the brat, it was a little bland, This time around at Tangerine Cafe I got the chicken platter, the chicken was nasty, it was processed stuff, but all the sides were very good hummus, bread, couscous and some kind of herb salad tabouleh I think it was called, I was happy again with the backlavah, it was honey goodness mmmm, dbf had the lamb sandwich it was ok.

Last day :( we ate at boardwalk bakery (which I had breakfast at in the mornings I rcommend the almond bear claw) dbf had a cin bun I had a cheesecake brownie, then off to hurrican hannas for wraps, I had ceasar dbf had deli meats, both were good, we saved the cookie desserts for the plane. Off to beaches and cream for root beer floats, and ESPN for nachos while we watched the Yankee game before we left (They won!) We ate so much during the trip, I cant even name all of the snacks, gelatos, ice cream, popcorn etc and miscellaneous stuff we noshed on during the week, I will miss disney, especially those Dole Whips, but if anytone has any reservations on the Dining Plan I would say go for it IT WAS A BLAST!

Great reviews. Could you tell me which of your snacks were included in the dining plan?

Thanks for the great reviews! I'm glad to hear about Kona and Boma since we've got ADRs for both spots. Your CS information was helpful, too.

I understand they recently changed the snack options and opened it up to more options, its pretty much anything under $4, Dole Whips, almost anything at Boardwalk Bakery, Dole Whips, breakfasty stuff Dole Whips, pastries, Dole Whips, drinks, Dole Whips, popcorn, Dole Whips, ice cream, the bakery options were phenom, the last day I had a cheesecake brownie that was huge, I had turnovers, croisants, cin buns, I know certain places french fries were included, we used a snack credit to get a huge order of onion rings at one of CS locations, Im pretty sure it was Flame Tree, everything is clearly maked with the DDP logo so there is no confusion as to what is or isnt on the plan.
