Wow - great upgrade! I just read your post and realized I have just booked our 4 day cruise for Aug 28 and have the same room your said you were in last time - 8550. I must say, I'm a little anxious after your comment about being under the Mickey pool. From what I read in the Passporter guide, it said to avoid rooms 8036 - 8044 and 8536 - 8544 because they were under the Goofy Pool. No mention of rooms under the Mickey Pool. Was it really noisy?

Thanks to all of you! I appreciate all the excitement and well wishes from all of you great people!!!

I'm finally somewhat calm now although when I start thinking about it I get all goose bumpy again! I feel like a little kid. LOL

disneediva--I don't think it ever too early to start the wishing and the voodoo and since you come from the "home" of voo-doo you would be much better at it than I am! LOL

CheapMom--LOL about not getting 8550. I think it would have drove me insane again but for no extra money I think I could have dealt with it. I think I was more disappointed just because of the price we paid to listen to what we listened to.

cepmom---You will probably stay in 8550 and LOVE IT! I admit I am very sensitive to noise and probably more "aware" of it than most. I honestly think that most of my problem with the room was the fact that I paid a lot of money and the cabin I thought would be so great and it was noisy. The only time it really bugged us to the point that I was crazy was at night when we were trying to get our high energy but exhausted kids to go to sleep. A lot of people have stayed around there and have loved it...it's probably just me!

I thought upgrades only went to those folks who just booked a category, not a specific room and you just proved me wrong.

Thanks! There is hope (with some pixie dust) that our family might get moved up from that Cat. 11 room we have now.

Mike..Thanks! I am still in shock to say the least! I keep waiting for someone to call me and say oh it was a late (very late) April fools joke! LOL

I plan on doing a HUGE trip report when I get back (as many of you know my posts are LONG! LOL) and I plan on taking a TON of pictures of the connecting rooms and views and the like!

Palisa--WOW congrats on the Cat 3! now THAT would be an UPGRADE! LOL

Well only 2 more weeks and I will be packing to head off!

THANK YOU for the information! I am always a tad bit worried being at the front of a ship but I'm glad you enjoyed it! We were in the front of the Norwegian Norway but on the very bottom deck inside and it was awful! I'm hoping we will have as great of an experience as you did!!!

I'm really looking forward to the balcony for us to sit on when the kids are beat and we aren't!
