In August of 1998 I was planning a surprise brithday trip to WDW in September 1998 for my DH .. I had booked a room at Dixie Landings... Ordered park hopper passes and was about to book airfare when
We found out I was PREGNANT with our first child!!!! We canceled the trip.... Miss Madeline arrived the May 3rd, 1999...
In all the uproar of becoming parents, moving, etc... I missplaced the 5 day hopper passes, I kinda looked around, here and there for them, but life as a new mom filled my time, and I forgot about them...
Then we had another daughter... and every once in a while I would think about those darn tickets....
Flash forward August 2002... again I was planning a trip to WDW for just DH and I (leaving, our two kids home) in September and was kicking myself for loosing the original tickets... How oculd I have lost them!!! Did I throw them out... I tore the place up looking for them.. I know they had to be here somewhere.. and wouldnt it be great to use them for this trip....
Then a funny thing happened...
Once again I discovered I was preggo.... We opted not to cancel that trip.. and it was fun throwing up all over Epcot..... Sir Charlie was born May 2nd 2003.
Anyway to make a long story longer... Today as I was giving the house an extra clean sweep since this weekend is both my DD 5th birthday AND my DS 1st Birthday, I FOUND THE TICKETS!!!!!
The timing of all this... .... to find the tickets that I bought for that first adventure at WDW, which was detoured into the super wonderful adventure of becoming a mom... are now found... just days before our Daughter turns 5 and our son turns 1.....
As a family WDW means a lot to us... great vacations, time together... but to me... it is more... it is blended forever with the start of my family, and is intertwined with our lives... a time line... Charlie first stood up at Vero... Maddie potty trained at BeachClub... Abigail's growing courage.....
Just had to share..
Oh and for those who might wonder... 5 day park hopper went for $189. plus tax ($230 plus tax now)
