I just got engaged to the most wonderful man in the world. His name is Timoth, but I just call him TJ. He's smart, funny, kind, caring, loving, humerous, and sweet. I would like to get a jump start on searching for the perfect wedding dress. Could all of you bride to be's or already have been brides please email me a picture of the wedding dress that you wore in your wedding, or are choosing for the wedding. I would also appreciate all the wedding tips you have for me. It would be greatly appreciated. ThankYou. My email address is tjsprincessbride@hotmail.com

Thanks again for your help and suggestions

P.S I have absolutely no idea where to start. Please eman.l me with things that you had in your wedding/reception or things that you are going to have in your wedding/reception.

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

First thing's first, why don't you just start simple. When is the wedding date? That will help you decide what colors to use, whether you want it indoors our outdoors, etc., etc.

I've been married for almost 13 years next May and hubby and I never had that big wedding most girls dream of. We got married at the courthouse, but I wouldn't change a thing! :teeth: My best friend purchased my dress for me as a gift and it was a very simple spring dress with a beautiful floral pattern. Still have that dress and looking to "fit" back into it soon. I'm about 20 pounds from goal, so I'm going to wait another 5 pounds before I try it on again.

Hubby and I have decided to renew our vows in 2 years on our 15th and we're going to do it on the beach. We celebrate our anniversary in May, so the weather is comfortable and the beaches are beautiful!! I've decided to stay very simple as I don't have tons of money to spend and we are "honeymooning" in Disney once again after renewing our vows. I'll be wearing a simple sundress. I just don't know what it will be until I try several on. I think I will do a bouquet of carnations, my favorite flowers, that I will be making myself. My invitations will have a Disney theme to it, the princesses of course since I'm a Disney nut and most of my friends know this. I will be making those too as I have a program on my computer that allows me to do so. I've decided to have the reception at one of the restaurants on the beach just to keep things simple cost wise. I have a friend who does wedding cakes and that's her gift to hubby and me. ::yes:: :teeth:
Both my parents are deceased and I've also lost a sister too, so things will seem a little strange without them there, but they will be there spiritually and that's all that I ask. :D Hubby and I have adopted a very cool couple we met in church as mom and dad, and I've asked him to give me away AND marry us. He's a minister! The Father has definitely blessed hubby and I with all the right people in our lives! Hubby is a musician and I've asked him to do the music for the wedding. I don't see spending much on this at all, and I'm quite excited about that. The most money spent will be on the anniversary trip to Disney, about $1200 I think I have budgeted right now, but for 7 days and 6 nights, it's not bad at all.
Those are just a few things in my renewal that might help trigger some ideas in you. Just take it slow and get the important things first: THE DATE AND THE LOCATION.
If you have any other questions, ask me here, PM me here, or email me at yashuaschild1969@yahoo.com

I do hope I was some sort of help.

Best to you in all of your planning,
Denise :bride: :groom:

Just remember one very important thing....this is YOUR wedding! Don't let ANYONE step in and take over, because if you do, you will probably be very upset in the end. I have seen and heard some horror stories about brides that had the wedding their family wanted and not them. Most are divorced and never remarried with regrets on the way the first wedding went or some remarried and did the 2nd one the right way, or some renewed their vows down the road the way they wanted to. It can be nerve wrecking, but only if you let it. This is to be a joyous time in your life, keep it that way okay? :cool1:

Blessings again sweetie!

Congratulations princessbride on your engagement to TJ :lovestruc

Where are you planning on getting married ? That would help some of us help you with your plans for sure.

We talked about it and we want to get married at WDW, particulary Magic Kingdom, because he proposed to me right in front of Cinderella's Castle. We are open to anywhere at WDW, but we would like some info on Magic Kingdom.
