Just Dessert

Do you know if it's possible just to have dessert at any of the restaurants? Kids and I want to enjoy a Kiddie Kone at Kona then see the Electric Water Parade.

We always do this a couple of times during our trip. We make sure to tell the server beforehand so they know to expect the shorter tabletime we'll need. I always tip a little more as well, if it's busy.

Great plan... That kiddie cone is worth the trip. We always have our last meal on our last night at WDW at Kona, and it's always so good. The kiddie cone is a sight to behold. The cone is "glued" to the plate so it sticks up, and it is wrapped in cotton candy. There is syrup on the ice cream and lots of Mickey-shaped sprinkles/confetti. There are chocolate Mickey heads decorating it. YUM! No one can EVER finish it. For $5 or $6 it is probably one of the ebst deals at WDW. The other desserts are ALL wonderful.

We did this at Kona on one of our last trips. DH and I wanted to try some of their desserts. The kids were not all that interested in any of the desserts (nope, no Kiddie Kone) and they just asked for plain ice cream. They were happy to accomodate them (of course, I'm sure we paid dearly for a scoop of ice cream, but hey, it's WDW!!)

We went to Kona just for coffee and desserts one rainy afternoon (we were still quite full from a late breakfast), as we were entering we asked the server if it was ok jus tot order dessert and she said sure, and noted it down so that anyone waiting on us would know that's all we were there for. Have a fun time - we LOVE the electric water parade.
