Just curious, What is your occupation?

I am a professional lurker on the DISboards. DW homeschools our DD.

Being a Family Nurse Practitioner in a small town in SW Tennessee pays the bills.

I'm a supervisor at U.P.S and work in local school system DW is an Occupational therapist.

I'm an office specialist (secretary) for an engineering company. I support the executive director and about 50 of his engineers, I love it!

My husband is in IT/Tech Support as well as going to school for his degree.

I am a nurse at Emory. DH is a chemical engineer.

My college roommate's DH is a kidney specialist at Emory.

To CarolA, I too had my job outsourced to India a year ago June. I knew it was coming so had started looking beforehand, 3 weeks after the layoff I had an offer. The silver lining, I got 6 months severance, so I collected 2 paychecks for 5 months. Guess what paid for my DVC membership, yeah baby:thumbsup2. So let some guy in India do my old job, I got my DVC paid for:lmao:

I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Good luck to you.

ETA: I forgot to tell you what I do. I am a tax manager for a relocation company. I was testing accounting software as a subject matter expert when I was laid off.

Teacher for 34 years (actually 33.6) Hope to do many trips that don't involve scrutinizing a school calendar soon (11/08)

Wow, I'll never be able to read through all the replies, but I want to add ours, lol!

I'm a middle school librarian, DH is an elementary school principal. (It's in our blood--both our mothers were teachers and many others in our family are as well)

When I met Bill, he was a tool pusher on an offshore rig. Now he's a patient advocate. Big change, huh?

Wow!!! Yeah, big change. LOL!

That's what my DH does (tool pusher). It's just when I say that no one knows what the heck I'm talking about:lmao: .....except those who've worked offshore & their spouses.;)

I'm a DVC Guide and DW works for MS. I'm gathering the information from this thread to start making calls Monday for Add-ons and DW usually browses the DIS to see who deserves to have their room requests noted on their reservations or "accidentally" not noted.;)

I am an attorney with a major retail insurance broker and DH is self employed as a manufacturer's rep.

I currently work as a teacher of the visually impaired. I also am an orientation and mobility specialist(can travel for visually impaired) and a deafblind education consultant. I also co-plan inservice for about 80 teachers of the visually impaired in our area.
DH works at the local horse track in the mutuels windows.
Even though I work in education, I can take vacations throughout the school year since I have a 12 month contract.

Definitely unemployed, not by my choice. My job was outsourced to India along with many others in my company. Waiting for unemployment to kick in. Too young to be retired, lol. Thanks for asking!
